You can’t prove a source right or wrong really when it comes to recruiting. You always have the “things are fluid” excuse to fall back on. So I don’t know why you’re trying.
Either you believe his source or you don’t but it’s all up to what you personally believe.

I think the only real shot we have at RW is if he wants to be apart of the best WR class in the nation.
On a different note, I'm glad we are going the HS approach over the Portal approach of Kiffin but it just seems like we will eventually have cfb to where every year swapping will just have everyone going portal instead of as much HS. It's the new JUCO.

It will be that. Just look at how many top players entered this year. You can get proven players vs potential in HS. Will be a better use if the NIL spending. There will eventually be a balance of HS, Portal, retaining current players. Just my opinion.

I thought the same thing but Hugh did make a good point yesterday.
He said he focused on the HS class because he wanted guys that would come in and feel connected to the rebuild.
We’ll still have to pay them but it does give you a leg up on keeping these guys.

I think he’s right. I just mean moving forward you are going to see more and more top players hit the portal with proven play. Even if it’s just to get their school to pay more and return.
I suspect coaches will still want the top players but maybe not take depth through HS recruiting and go after portal. I don’t think it would be prudent not to have a strong HS recruiting strategy either but portal and retaining will be just as high priority if not bigger in some instances.
