This isn’t news, though. No offense. I know there’s Chex saying 0% flip but this is a kid that’s not an EE that also hasn’t shut down his recruitment. Of course there’s smoke from the school he was a long time commit of.
Don’t know if he flips. I really don’t think he does. But I guess it was off peoples radar that Bama was still recruiting him

I know he was rated high, but what was the depth chart situation? Did he not have a shot to start or did something just go wrong? Or perhaps he just wanted a bigger bag

Nowadays I don’t think it has to be any of those reasons. Fran Brown, his DB coach, just took the Syracuse head coach job

These type kids are the best type of portal players, imo. Leaving with lots of eligibility left. Have them locked in until the graduate at least.

Gotcha. I was just curious to know if we were going after a guy who they really needed or coveted. I know he was a 5* but I was wondering if he lived up to the rating when he showed up in Athens.

The new rule is these kids can transfer any year without sitting out a year.
It’s no longer a lock but t retaining efforts every year until contracts are introduced

It said he got the 5th most snaps at corner this year for UGA. So he was getting on the field consistently as a true freshman at least.

I hear ya. I think anytime a 5* transfers he probably didn’t live up to expectations

Mike Dyer broke the freshman rushing record and plenty of us continue to say he didn’t live up to expectations
That’s just what happens when 5* guys transfer. Expectations are sky high for those guys and short of sticking around and being drafted high, it’s a disappointment

Not necessarily Georgia got to much talent on defense to say just because he didn’t unseat a veteran on their defense that he didn’t meet expectations. That’s a big ask for a freshman regardless of their star rating.they have high stars at ever level of their defense We could definitely use him and he’d for sure ease the sting if KJ decides to stick with fsu

Nah dog, I meant if they transfer anywhere else but Auburn, it was because they weren’t living up to the hype. If they transfer to Auburn, it’s because they saw the light.
