Jesus.

Every kid Bama gets committed is solely focused on football and developing for the NFL and winning. Any kid that goes elsewhere, especially Auburn, only does it for money and will hold the team hostage in 2 years wanting a big "raise". They can all suck all the dicks.

Every 5 star wants to sign with bama, you have to remember this. No college kids like any other schools than UAT. The only singular pitch is $$$.

They definitely were the premier school for #1 classes when Saban got there and went 6-6 his first year.

Fun fact, Caldwell reported that Coleman is only 16 years old and was supposed to be a ‘25 guy. Meaning he could end up being an absolute physical freak.

He towers over people. Is he quick in his wiggle?

I've heard a lot of comps comparing Cam Coleman to George Pickens and I think that's pretty accurate. Just looking at both of their HS film at this stage and to me it appears Coleman is as freakish than Pickens at this stage. Coleman looks to have a little better burst/speed and is a more polished route runner than Pickens. He needs a little more body mass to be compared to a Julio but I could see him getting there since he's only 16. INDEED!!!

Who would be other good comps in your guys opinion?

He can twist like a rubber band. It’s pretty impressive watching how he can turn and catch balls thrown behind him.

Notes from 247 staff on KJ Bolden visit (stolen from Reddit)

*** KJ is very concerned with the talent around him and what he will be able to provide to a team. Auburn secondary coach Zac Etheridge went over different ways KJ will be used in the secondary. KJ has the skill set to play every position in the secondary and will be used in a
variety of roles should he come to Auburn.

*** KJ would like to play offense as well and Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze went over how his offense will get KJ the ball in favorable positions without tiring him out. His usage will be more along the lines of 10 snaps a game than
a full-time 2-way player.

*** KJ wanted to know about Auburn's quarterback situation and Freeze stressed the fact that while Auburn is keeping its options open, the Tigers are confident that Payton Thorne can be successful as quarterback. Freeze pointed to Thorne's improved play over the season as evidence that with a whole year in the system the results will be more consistent.

*** Bolden and LJ McCray have been in contact.

*** Bolden is impressed with Auburn's recruiting class and thinks that if he were to flip he would influence a few other
flips.

*** Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs get the next visit

Any good info here gets plowed under by the dumbasses arguing over things that don't matter or don't have anything to do with Auburn recruiting.

Payton Thorne was 5 of 16 vs Alabama. His legs provided a spark but how can you spin or sell that to WR recruits. He had tons of improvement verses significantly worse teams though. Look at his only away game vs a team with a pulse @ TAMU. He was 6 of 12 for 44 yards. I just think it’s dangerous to hitch our wagon to Thorne for the 24 season.

Vs a terrible LSU defense he went 12 for 23 for 102 yards.

I get not wanting to pay for a top guy but man bring someone in that will compete.

Adjusted completion percentage was like 74% or some shite. Drops were bad man. Javarius dropped a TD, hit him in the face, Fairweather drop a pass over the middle, a little underthrown but still, you have to make that catch.

Thorne isnt a gamechanger, everyone knows that. But he isnt some huge liability. With the right pieces around him, Thorne can manage the offense better than anyone currently on the roster

We’re arguing about Thorne in the portal thread. No need to do it in two spots

AJ Green

247 compares him to Pickens. ON3 compares him to Braylon Edwards.

You can show WR recruits film of the ball hitting our current receivers in the hands, and them not catching it.

If anything that’s the best pitch you could make for receivers.

That’s not as much film as the ball sailing over their heads, behind them, etc. though.

We’re not trying to show them Ashford’s film though
