To reset where we are currently at…
Need 2-3 WRs - preferably 2 high school 1 portal(maybe 2 depending on attrition)
Not a huge need but a want - complete TE from high school that is a good receiver and good blocker
2-4 OL - probably 2 high school and 2 portal OL.
0-1 running back - probably take zero unless they are an absolute stud
1 QB - Portal depending on how many guys leave
2-3 interior DL - 1 high school 2 portal
0 edge/jack - if McLeod returns which I expect him to
LB - Done unless attrition then expect portal
1-2 CB - maybe 1 high school maybe 1 portal most likely portal if I had to guess. Would take Solomon if he comes
1 safety - probably a portal guy but if any of the elite high school guys wants on board would make room
A lot of the portal work will depend on who leaves or enters the portal from the team. You would need to replace them. We will be fishing in a different portal pond this year. Less G5ish type players and more P5 type transfers.

JLee said AU has confidence they can get Coleman. They have less confidence in Williams, but still like their chances. Cam Coleman will wait until after his state championship game to announce (if he indeed announces before signing).
Echols would not comment after game, but AU is after him hard and JLee feels they have a decent chance.
Favour Edwin -- JLee said AU is the leader and he believes there will be an announcement by Friday. Edwin is anxious to get it all over with and make a choice soon.
Micah DeBose was at both the NMST and IB. After IB he told JLee that he is leaning 60-70% toward AU as of now.

If I were an A&M fan Elko would feel like Rhett Lashlee to Auburn people. Just seems like a lazy hire, with ties to the pud they just fired.

I expect Micah to be one of those the coaches put a must get tag on. I think in the end he is a tiger.
Think Derrick Smith is similar at WR as well.
I also think the staff is turning the heat down on Jared smith. They did not like how he handled the transfer at all. The story goes the coach at Spain park heard the rumor he was leaving so he talked with Jared, Jared told him no he was gonna help Spain park win a state title. Next day he is transferred and enrolled in at Thompson

To clarify, he said Auburn has a 60-70% chance to flip him - not that he was leaning 60-70% to Auburn.
