losing this game was what was deciding a kid’s commitment or not to us, I wouldn’t have any confidence we would actually keep him.

That doesnt make any sense. If this game steers him away from committing, then Auburn wouldnt be "keeping" anything. Keeping players means they are committed already. Unless you are referring to them committing then decomitting or possibly transferring out after they sign

This wasnt just a simple loss bud. This was a beat down by a non power 5 school. This game was one of the worst losses in program history. You know, the history that started in the late 1800s.

You aren’t understanding what I’m trying to say. Don’t worry about it it, i’m probably not saying it well. I wasn’t arguing it wasn’t a big loss. I actually said it was.

You arent phrasing it correctly. I believe you were trying to say that if this loss made their decision then they werent coming here anyways, yes?

Basically. Or if they had committed, silently or whatever and this game was enough to sway their ultimate decision, I doubt we would have kept them committed anyways. Basically, grand scheme in a few days this game will pass. As fans, it hurts us worse.

Cam Coleman is fickle and this game could very well have steered him away. Next week is crucial for the future of the program.

He’s got a fall out game when RW doesn’t come to Auburn now

No meathead. We have to make it a game and not get run out of JHS like we did today.

We will see. It’s an Auburn Alabama battle not hard to say it’s Auburn unless we lose or lose to much. If it’s a done deal as you’ve said then doesn’t matter today or next week. Nut up son. Call your shot

Going to say the same thing I said last year and it still holds

From this point forward, the #1 priority should be to get a quarterback in here that can play next year. It should be #1 on every coach and it should not change till we get one. It should have been the priority all recruiting season

I dont care how many other players we pick up and how many shiny stars they have. If we do not pick up a capable quarterback to play next year, we are going to be right back where we are right now come next year. Bottom dwellers.

It should have been the #1 priority last year and it should be this year. Waiting to get one in the portal may be the only way but it does put us at risk again of Hugh not being able to get one to come and we will end up right back where we are again

High caliber QBs entering the portal are aiming to leave for the nfl asap and go to the place that can best set them up for that.

With a terrible oline and terrible wr group, auburn really isn't that. Bo Nix is about to win the Heisman and he had trouble succeding here as a QB. Why would any QB think they'd fair better than him?

I didn’t watch the second half much, we left after a couple drives of the third.

Thorne wasn’t our problem yesterday. Our defense had zero energy and played like shite. Most of our offense played like shite with zero energy. Thorne threw the ball well enough, we had one drop that hit the receiver in both hands pretty perfectly and it was dropped. That would have been another completion and another 20-30 yards.

I agree that we need a backup quarterback but I don’t hang this loss at the feet of Thorne.
