There are still plenty of players in our region of recruiting available to get us in the top 10 easily. There are flip candidates to get us to around 6th.
Would be a hell of a first year. However I don’t think we land all and probably get to around 9-10 in finish. Then will add about 10 or so portal players is my guess.

My assumption as well that we will end up in the 8-10 range, probably 10 is more realistic, before factoring in transfer portal. Would be a fantastic class all things considered.

And with that said the end of the year last year the way we closed out the class. This years class. And the ‘25 class have to be homeruns. It’s is essential to set the tone in the rebuild of the conference to remain top 5ish. Can’t let Texas and Okie jump in and push us to 7th or 8th.

When people were running those numbers previously it included hitting on several top players which didn't materialize.

It was not.
I’m pretty sure when we ran those numbers (I was one of the ones running the numbers) it was assuming we closed the class out with all average 3*s.
Since then, we’ve lost some commits so the numbers probably changed.
The 8-10 was assuming nothing surprising.

Are we going to ignore the players we got because of ours or is the NIL only responsible for the players lost?
Absolutely not we clearly out bid Bama and UGA for Riddick and Thompson. Two massive areas on the roster needed for big time upgrades WR and LB.

Also another note not NIL related just a take. I’ve started watching some highlights and stuff from the ‘25 class
I know everyone is going goo goo ga ga over Ryan Williams and he’s a great player. Best since Julio not sure on that but really good player. Heck he may not be the best WR in the state. Hope we aren’t missing out on Derick Smith. Dude is a stud. Not as explosive as Williams but much bigger frame.

I’ll take this group of WRs in the ‘25 class right now.
Ryan Williams
Caleb Cunningham
Derick Smith
You have your X in Cunningham, your Y in Smith, and your slot in Williams.

Obviously there is the Ryan Williams smoke, but anything on where we may stand with the other two guys or is it too early?

Ask ANY HS coach in this state and theyll tell you ryan is the best wr since julio in this state and some would say the best player since jameis.

The point wasn’t to debate if Ryan Williams is the best player since Julio the point was don’t over look Derick Smith. Yall the arguingist (not a word) folks ever. Damn

Derick Smith has visited twice already not sure on Cunningham. He will be a tough pull he’s the number 1 player in Mississippi

Cunningham has visited FSU 3 hasn’t visited another school. Yet. It’s early still but would be nice to get him on campus soon

I Heard Derick Smith is the truth. That guy would be the best receiver in the last 5 years of Alabama football if not for Ryan or George Pickens. Pickens was one of the few recruits to get under my skin with how he decommited lol

Blame Kodi Burns for Pickens.

The only way I don’t see us in the top 10 is if we fail to get 20+ commits

quote:his film is off the charts good. Poor competition but his athletic ability jumps off the screen. Special player. Should be a 5 star because he will be an immediate impact WR for someone. Hopefully Auburn

Has good hands as well but is an elite safety to. Like I said regardless of Ryan Williams we need to be going hard after Smith.
