People have the right to complain as much as they choose. I'm personally not saying that I have the right to decide how you spend cash or support Auburn, BUT if we don't keep up with the times we WILL become obsolete. Do what YOU wish, but I'M not down with that happening. Especially not if It's less than what I spend for mindless apps or streaming service subscriptions. I care way more about Auburn than those lol

NIL is directly connected to recruiting success and vice versa. If NIL is silly to you then you cannot complain about recruiting

I will agree to this when people that don't pay taxes can't vote. Screw NIL.

I am also not saying someone that doesn’t donate shouldn’t express how they feel about recruiting or on the field results which the former directly affects the latter but don’t have the expectation if you don’t expect it of yourself.

Actually, that is exactly what you said to me a few weeks back. That if you didn’t donate, you had no right to question anything. You and I discussed that and I disagreed.

Putting a few bucks in the collection plate does not give you special privilege to question recruiting over someone who doesn’t. And that is the point Rocky has been making all day.

Yeah it actually does. Because that contribution to the collection plate was for recruiting purposes. Meanwhile, you'd rather freeride.

As things stand our current class will end up top 15-20ish. We’re #17 on the 247 composite rankings with signing day a month and a half away. The fanbase clearly isn’t interested in giving to NIL to compete for championships if that’s the best we can do with an elite recruiter like Freeze.

Sure, that’ll occasionally get us to 10 wins and maybe even compete for a title if we have a Heisman type of QB (they’ve only come around twice in our history), but the reality of the situation is top 15-20 is nothing more than a rare flash in the pan type of year with the majority being 8-4/9-3 seasons.

I do expect us to finish higher than 15th this year in recruiting.

Plus I think we will again have turnover for the good and bad in the portal. Probably somewhere around 30-35 new players again. Why for football o don’t think the portal is sustainable for a program

What's the opinion on the DB who just decommited? Should we panic?

Nobody knows what you are talking about

Collection plate: contribution to recruiting efforts. Its not that hard

We need to shift to another thread though.

I wouldn’t panic. The committing and decommitting is going to happen more often with bidding wars happening. Some will hurt more than others, especially if we don’t find a replacement of equal or better ability.

Again you can make an argument either way. I’m financially comfortable and able to do it without pinching pennies. It’s essentially $1.10 a day each month, not breaking anyone’s bank. If donating $34 a month is financially undisciplined I don’t know what to tell you lol. But I’m in a position where I don’t live paycheck to paycheck so it’s different for other people.

I just think that if you care enough about Auburn and Auburn Athletics to dedicate personal time throughout the week to discuss it then donating $34 a month isn’t a wild concept.

I know we've had several decommits recently, but who are the likely flip candidates? Trying to stop the NIL talk lololo

Not to get us off topic, but does anyone know the status of our NIL?

I’m sure you do know a lot of people are not doing this for reasons bigger than $34 a month.

And if everyone “Loved Auburn so much”, they could have been adding another $400 donation to thier season tickets

This has nothing to do with “loving Auburn”.

Seems too coincidental that our decommitments are coinciding with our team looking hapless. Hopefully we can recapture some momentum on and the field this weekend.

That doesnt even make sense. There are plenty of avenues for giving back. Your example which would show nothing but an accounting error is pure hubris.

and yours and Weagle's broken logic are cancer to the board.

There. I said it.
