Williams is the best prospect from Alabama since Julio.

Until we knife Saban for elite recruits I’m not going to hold out hope

Williams will probably reclass and work this thing for as much NIL money as possible.

The whole "harsin touched me here" argument is getting a wee bit old.

If I were his dad Id be gettin a bit embarrassed at this point.

How did this get traction?

What do we know about his dad and his dad's career. I am only seeing sparse PT at Auburn. Is he a big Auburn fan or what.

His dad is obviously a big Auburn fan but gonna let his son make his own decisions. I don’t see how a kid graduates a year and half early from high school so I’m very skeptical of a reclassifying. I still think Bama clearly leads but Auburn won’t stop regardless.

I’d put percentages currently at 80-20 Bama.

Also we need to close out this class strong. We have a good class with our core recruits but if we have to go to backup options the rest of the way not good. We need 3 good OL, 1 Juco OL, 1 more very good edge rusher, at least 1 very good DT, I personally don’t think we need another running back, I think we need 1 more dynamic WR especially if we can get either elite speed or big bodied that has great hands. Another LB isn’t required but would be nice. We need another true cover corner.

It's going to take some flips for this class to be able to be considered a success. We definitely failed to capitalize on the momentum we had around big cat

So OL is Favour, House probable, and juco or portal...or Reese Baker?
Waller maybe for Edge, and LJ McCray very unlikely at DT, Beaman, but I think they want him at strongside end, and he is a big maybe.
Running back, the Georgia kid committed to Clemson sure is visiting a lot likely
LB did Shaw ever commit to anyone
WR Williams if he does reclass (JLee talks about it every time his name comes up) would be maybe and the same for Coleman if Jimbo continues with his illustrious game management.
And DBs who knows at this point.

Thoughts, comments?

You think this class, without any flips, gets us any closer to our rivals? It's somewhat better than Harsin sure but not even as good as Malzahn's last few classes and very similar in its lack of OL and now DL.

There's some smoke around some guys that we may have a chance to flip so I'm not saying it's a lost cause but that's what it's going to take.

Our top 5-6 commits are as good as the top tier teams top 5 or 6. It’s these next 5-6 commit left that can push to next level recruiting class. If not it’s just a good class. If we land 2-3 big time players it’s a great first year class. And still would expect better in year 2

Malcom Simmons just housed a punt return for a 90 yd TD. Fast cat.

Simmons, Cain, and Lewis should all get slight bumps in rankings. Barber as well but he doesn’t have the prototypical size of NFL backers so he will stay close to where he’s currently ranked

Randy, we still got the two five stars. This class will be a lot better than any of Harsin's

Great to see a dad trust his parenting skills and realize a young man is capable of making his own decision.

Also I graduated HS after 3 months of senior year classes. Promise it wasn't from my stellar studying, testing and grades and that was back in 1978.

My boy Blaine Burke just went 98 yards on a rushing TD.

I’d offer him a PWO spot he’d remind everyone of Battie maybe a hair faster in a straight line plus can line up in the slot as well.
