I mean, you dont call Riddick to flip to Auburn a month out by reading tea leaves

KJ was going to Auburn until he wasnt. That battle sucked to be on the losing end of. We were so freakin close!

Agreed. Step away for the weekend, come back and we are now bitching about a man who only has 5 years experience under Gus and Harsin!!!!!
The two years with Harsin was enough to demoralize anyone.
The RB room is loaded. Other positions were of more concern beside RB this year.
These young coaches are learning the craft under Hugh's wing including Carnell.
There was a statement made here about Carnell not being like Dameyune Craig....that is a compliment!
Not Boogin here but these damn negative waves here are astounding and unfounded when considering where we were one year ago.
Not a damn one of us know exactly what goes on.

Please give us a detailed list about what we’re allowed to speculate on and what we’re not so we can stick to it in the future. TIA

This thread is about 5 pages long if it had no speculation.

I agree with you and have no issue with the discussion over caddy at all. Discussion is what we do here whether it’s negative, positive, outrageous, etc. With that said, I do remember you telling people how to feel about recruiting not all that long ago.

What’s the correlation?

He said we’re not allowed to speculate on Cadillac because we don’t know what actually happens. So I follow his logic, then we pretty much don’t talk about anything.

I tell people to chill out with the Freeze/Dye comparisons because all we had done at the time is flip 1 5 star. (Which even today I would still be a long way from comparing Freeze to Dye). You follow my logic and we don’t melt the frick down when we’re not having back to back 10 win seasons.

The only correlation I see is this thread will continue to speculate on shite we don’t have all the details to despite what he says. And people will still have a circle jerk to Freeze despite what I say.

I’m trying to save myself from having to read all the melts if a few things don’t go our way. He’s saying what he’s saying because he can’t handle an ounce of negativity (and it’s not even really negativity)

Not my fault I’m a saint trying to save this board from the creation of more TTs or Luke’s of the board.

Cadillac is an Auburn man through and through, a legend, and I couldn't be more proud to have him be a part of the program. I have been convinced he also might not be great at recruiting, or even very good. He deserves and has earned the right to see if the other guys on staff will rub off on him. If not, then Freeze has a decision to make. At that point our options as fans is to support whatever that decision is, if it ever gets to that or quit watching Auburn Football. Most of us will keep watching, bitch if caddie got canned, then forget about everything as soon as the new guy lands a stud RB.

In the meantime we should keep agreeing to disagree. I think we are more passionate about recruiting than most fanbases.

Only thing I'll say on the matter is regardless of what ranked recruit you think we should get, the RB room produces. Its one of the only areas of the team that has consistently been good. Under multiple coaches and schemes, so there isn't a lack of talent there.

I think a lot of people will be surprised by Cobb too.

I’m on the wagon right now (not the sober wagon). I’m just the brakes.

We have 5 years worth of info on Caddy as a recruiter. I don’t think it’s good enough for a position as easy as he coaches.

5 years worth of him trying to convince players to come play for a terrible head coach. What other positions were we drawing loads of 5 star talent during that time frame?

He has been trying to sell cafeteria pizza to kids when he lives next to gourmet pizza shops. It was the hand he was dealt.

Once he has a year of Freeze and the momentum - then I will decide on his ability.

Not before - especially when he has already done so much for Auburn.

Kamarion Franklin, Zaquan Patterson, TJ lindsey, and Bradley Shaw are my guess for how we finish up on Defense.
