WR Bryce Cain skyrocketed up the rankings at On3. Now a 4* and #187 overall

Everyone else dropped significantly. Very questionable update by On3

Unless he is referring to the recruiting achievements at similar timeframe?
Yes - I assumed it would be obvious that in the recruiting thread while discussing recruiting I am referring to recruiting turnaround
I should have been clearer I suppose. The point is comparisons to other turnarounds and how those schools did in their first class. Just a factual comparison.
Also, I'm not shitting on HF here... just looking at where we stand. I think he did a fantastic job in the portal and even beyond expectations.
Pretty low probability AU ends up top 10 for the 2024 class, which is the first full class Hugh has had. Maybe we finish really strong or maybe it's supplemented with portal.
Alabama Saban was hired in January 2007. His 2008 class was ranked #1
Michigan They were 50th in 2015 then 4th in 2016 under Harbaugh
USC (California) Top 10 each year since Riley took over
Clemson Took longer to build recruiting success and not sure if Dabo is a "turnaround" or building a program from mid to top tier

Auburn absolutely lost Cam. Cmon man, they were still heavily recruiting him. Quit posting stuff you see from others on message boards as information.

We’ll be in the top 12 this year. And we don’t know if Saban pulled off a quicker turnaround…Freeze hasn’t started a season yet, and hasn’t had a full recruiting cycle at Auburn yet.
Obviously Hugh is walking into a worse situation with AU right now than Saban had at Bama so I'll feel like Hugh is on track if we are in the 15-20 range, though we are certainly behind the turnaround from a recruiting perspective of top programs if we end up in the 15-20 range. The potato years were particularly harmful.

I don't disagree, but it is no different from any other recruiting year or coach.
This is all normal from every year I have been here.

We don’t have Jackson state level money to throw at big recruits?
It wasn’t Jackson State money. Barstool paid the kid because of their relationship with Deion. And paying a freshman cornerback a million dollars is incredibly stupid. Idc how good he is.
