Sucks about Coleman, maybe Auburn didn't feel the need or have the resources to pony up for both him and Perry.
I’d bet we wouldn’t let money get in the way of us getting both but ATM’s pockets are as deep as they come.
Coaches will stay on Coleman, I'm sure. Plus it’s not exactly a lock that Jimbo is coaching there next year.

Only issue I see this year is if Jimbo stays out of Petrino’s way and I think he will. Connor Weigman I expect to be the top QB in the conference. Sucks but the kid is very talented

We’re at 3K posts already. Recruiting is better
We’ll be OK I think

This month still has potential to be the best month Auburn has had in modern recruiting.
Just thought Coleman would be part of it.

Smuphy, I got locked out of my Twitter account. Had to unretire from here because of it.

Guess the coaches did too. I didn’t see any news about any new WRs being offered. #feelsbadman

I agree with you on if Jimbo stays out of the way that they will be better. I just don’t know if Jimbo can do it. If they struggle I see him stepping in quickly. Also curious to see how his ego handles them having success and the narrative being, “Jimbo finally got out of the way and they got better.”
I’m big fans of Petrino and Weigman though. I think Petrino could really help him.

Luckily there are some the staff can circle back to that will still be good WR.

No thanks on Craver. Dude is to small and Cain is more explosive.
Coleman was a 3 star headed into this cycle. If he wasn’t propped up to a 5 star would we be panicking.
I’m not dissing the kid but I don’t see 5 star production from him.
And yes I know especially in year 1 recruiting perception and momentum are very important.

According to On3, Clemson & LSU had a mutual parting of ways with Coleman after his visit.
Now thinking back to the video Coleman posted at LSU he didn’t give a shite about the stuff in the room cause that dude was just looking for NIL. Auburn can’t match TAMU NIL and can’t match Jimbo’s desperation to make big splashes.
F that high school though, those guys are all dead set on not going to Auburn. I’m happy Auburn didn’t take Red Morgan to try to get Cam.

As soon as things looked like they were starting to get better with recruiting this happens. That’s a gut punch. We can’t land a 5 star WR from Phenix City because of Texas A&M money.

We can’t land anyone from Central period. Money or not.
Like I said earlier I wouldn’t blame the staff if they stopped recruiting the school. Just put a disclaimer out every year if you’re interested you know where Auburn is. If you aren’t interested then don’t come hang out.

And we’re to now believe that we’re about to land Thompson, Bolden, and Riddick after having this rug pulled out from under us?
There looked to be some confidence, especially with Riddick and Thompson, now who knows.

Don’t be like that. The kid is tall, strong and can catch anything around him. He’s exactly the type of WR we’ve been missing. Hopefully, Coleman changes his mind.

I believe he’s also the recruit that Freeze had a conversation with and after it Freeze came out visible mad. I don’t think we backed off or anything like that, but probably not a stretch that Coleman is making it known NIL is a big factor to the coaches.

Not sure any of it’s related to each other, but I don’t think you’re alone in losing confidence because of it.
We’ll have to see how things play out come August. Should give us a better picture of how things might go
Edit:
FWIW, I don’t necessarily know that this is true, but LSU’s recruiting mod for On3 heard that Auburn moved on from Cam Coleman.
Pink didn’t confirm that, but did confirm that Clemson and LSU decided not to pursue the kid after his visit.
I really don’t know what to think here. I tend to believe we didn’t just bail on this recruitment but we know, at the very least, Clemson and LSU did.

I highly doubt we moved on unless he murdered someone
Posted on 7/5/23 at 8:22 am to TiggerWoods
We moved on because we don’t have the funds to compete with A&M.

I have a really difficult time believing we’re going to steal a 5 star WR from Alabama, a 5 star LB from Alabama/UGA and/or a 5 star safety from UGA/Alabama now.
We’ll see what happens.
