I don't think there is any doubt that there was more talent on the 2013 roster from prior recruiting classes and the odds of Auburn realistically competing for any championships next year are very low. Having to hit on that many transfers at key positions across the team, and having everyone gel together and learn a new system is going to be tough.

Let's be honest, in 2013 it was really unheard of to turn around a team from 3-9 to playing for a championship. The talent had to be on your roster already, as you just couldn't rebuild a roster from college freshman and Juco. But the transfer portal has changed the game and made quick turnarounds much more doable. While it is unlikely that Auburn is going to be able to compete with UGA and Alabama next year, I think we can all agree we have taken a big step in the right direction with the roster upgrades. If a few of these guys turn out to be homerun, NFL type talent, and everything falls into place... it sure would be very Auburn of us.

Notre Dame is exploring getting out of Under Armour.

LINK

Gonna be a good bet that they get out.

If they were to lose Notre Dame to a competitor, their grip on college football would loosen significantly, with Auburn, Maryland, Utah, Wisconsin, Northwestern, and South Carolina the lone remaining Power Five programs wearing the UA logo on Saturdays in the fall.

I remember fishing Elcahatchee creek in Lake Martin many many years ago and they dumped their dye in the back of that creek. Id come over and camp for a week every October at WInd Creek.

That water in that creek would be a different color every day. One day it would be blue, one day red, one day purple. What every they were running in the factory, would be dumped in that creek at the end of the day.

After Russell left, the water got very clear in there and the fishing went down hill.

I could be wrong but wasn't Russell sold to Fruit of the Loom who in turn moved the operation to Bowling Green, Ky?
I still have Russell gear.

Oh yeah…. I grew up on LM (folks still live on the north end near 280 bridge)… some families sued Russell in the early 90s and the dye issue got a lot better… but no one ate the fish near wind creek.

The 2015 deal that last to 2025 Auburn's stupidly took $10 million in stock options when UA was at an all time high at $54. Today it is currently trading at $7.65

I'm very ready to move on from under armor, but it has to be Nike/Jordan. I don't want Adidas.
