Checked AUF. WDE doesn't think he will be back. WDE is usually pretty reliable on his info.

Watching Malzahn's press conference from today, he says "I'll tell you when he [Duke] gets back."
LINK
It might not be much, but I would assume he'd say I'll tell you "if" he comes back if he was definitely off the team.
Probably reading too much into that, but makes more sense than half the speculation and shite being spewed on social media and online.

Gabe the Great says he cursed out CDC. That would make since seeing as how another reports are saying this is not related to the bball fight but is something that happened at practice

Could it be that coach Gus is ready to drop the banhammer on Duke but The CDC says just hold on. Give me a chance to turn him around and save his life.
Disclaimer. I'm a dumbass living in Atlanta that has no connections in Auburn anymore and moderate to poor football understanding and couldn't actually identify any Auburn player in a lineup. So I'm guessing.

Congrats. That makes you a tRant expert.

All I know is that Duke is likely to be costing himself a significant amount of money, even if he does get back in Gus's good graces.
And that's just flat out dumb.

Last thing we need is discipline issues like we had under Chizik. That's the fastest way to a mediocre team.

Are you surprised? This idiot thought he could jump straight into the NFL out of JUCO
He's not very smart, and he's also way too confident in his own abilities which explains his out-of-shape playing weight from last season despite the staff wanting him at like 15-20 pounds lighter.

Several people inside the Athletic Complex say Williams was insubordinate and unusually combative during the first few days of camp.

I'm not that worried about Duke. This seems to be a discipline issue that will sort itself out.

Has anyone told him this is really bad for his future? Someone give me his beeper number and I will make sure he gets the message.

I'm sure they have. That is why I say I'm not concerned.
Both sides have something to lose, both sides want Duke on the field. Duke is the one who has caused the problem, he is the one who has infinitely more to lose (it's his life, AU football will be fine either way), and the AU coaches have not closed the door on his return. He'll get his head out of his arse soon and be back on the field.
