Looks good. I like the left side too, I think Danzey is going to be good this year.
I felt like he was a solid blocker when engaged, he just missed a ton of assignments. Hopefully that is an experience issue that is fixed this spring going forward.

I fully expect him to be a kid who doesn't crack the rotation till his Jr/SR year then is dominant and makes NFL. I call it the reverse King Dunlap

Josh Holsey will start out at corner, Johnathan Ford could play some corner in addition to safety.

I agree, and I'm hopeful too

This thread isn't as entertaining as the Saints board now that Jimmy Graham is getting traded. We need some gossip

I've heard chatter that Sean White reported in a full inch taller than his last official measuring.

To add to that, all of our OL have done a nice job of increasing their arm length since the season ended.

Probably all the bench pressing now that we don't have Coach Yox. Good for lengthening

James Crepea ?@JamesCrepea Malzahn has said Jason Smith will start out at QB in spring, will get "fair shot" to win job. Most consider him likely to end up at WR

Non VIP content from AUC on day 1 -
Josh Holsey and Jonathan Jones appeared to be the starting cornerbacks. Tray Matthews and Rudy Ford appeared to be the starting safeties. Early enrollee Tim Irvin was at nickel in the same rotation as Matthews and Holsey.
***
Former cornerback T’Sharvan Bell, who is teaching and coaching now in Dublin, Ga., was on hand to watch. He said he hopes to break into college coaching, even if it is as a graduate assistant.
Bell will be long remembered for his sack of quarterback Greg McElroy that all but clinched Auburn’s 28-27 Iron Bowl victory in 2010.
***
Also among the visitors for practice were Chad Slade, Pat Miller and Reese Dismukes, offensive linemen who finished their careers last season. All have hopes of playing on in the NFL.
***
Former secondary coach and administrator Phillip Lolley was in town to “watch some drills and try to learn something.” Lolley is headed toward his second season with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.
***
Jason Smith caught punts, along with Marcus Davis. Peyton Barber, Jovon Robinson and Stanton Truitt all worked returning kicks.
***
During the viewing period open to the media, defensive coordinator Will Muschamp did not seem to focus on a particular position group.
***
Offensive line coach J.B. Grimes firmly told his charges that offensive linemen do not scoop and score. He said it’s more likely to result in the other team getting the ball. He relented that maybe it would be OK if the ball was on the opponent’s 1-yard line.
***
Defensive end Carl Lawson, who missed all of last season after knee surgery, looked to be full-speed during drills. That probably shouldn’t come as a surprise. He participated in full-speed drills during bowl practice.

al.com report -

Defensive end DaVonte Lambert is expected to miss the spring due to a knee injury suffered against Samford last season, and he opened practice off to the side. What was surprising is that fellow defensive end Gimel President, who averaged 30.3 snaps per game last season, also wasn't available for drills. President's injury is unknown.
Elijah Daniel, another Tigers defensive end, stayed out of a few early position drills, but by the end, he was practicing along with the rest of the defensive line.
Carl Lawson and Alex Kozan, who both missed last season due to offseason injuries, both looked fluid and easy moving around. Keymiya Harrell was also back in action.
Backup guard Jordan Diamond, who's battling an injury, didn't do any sled work, but he was in a helmet and looked like he would be participating some in practice.
Former safety Derrick Moncrief and former defensive end Raashed Kennion both opened practice by working at strong-side linebacker.
Returning kicks during the special teams portion of practice: Stanton Truitt, Jovon Robinson, Peyton Barber.
Auburn's No. 1 secondary in pre-practice drills: Jonathan Jones and Joshua Holsey at cornerback, Tray Matthews and Johnathan Ford at safety, early enrollee Tim Irvin at nickel.
Nick Ruffin lined up at safety early.
NFL draft hopefuls Reese Dismukes, Chad Slade and Patrick Miller attended Auburn's first practice of the spring.
