Because this is the Big Leagues, not AA baseball. Furthermore, just because it isn't "broke" in the Sun Belt, doesn't mean that you cant put together a significantly better staff with 10x the resources (which is what Auburn provides).
You can bring a few guys with you. You can not transfer over an entire staff when moving to the SEC.

malzahn isn't going to bring his whole A state staff in. But there isn't anything we can do with who they hire on his offensive staff. He needs to hire people who are great coaches and believe in his offensive philosophy.

Every single coach in the SEC was a rookie SEC coach at some point. Just because they weren't in the SEC when you hired them doesn't mean they can't do it. Honestly, I think Gus has put together a pretty good mix of coaches.

...and what is the likelihood that every coach on a staff (or on offense/defense) at a school like Arky State is upper-level SEC caliber? About zero. Thats why I said you can bring a guy or two, but to state that you can bring the entire offensive staff because it "isn't broke" is ridiculous. The SEC is a different animal altogether...which is why it has dominated college football.
Even Malzahn knows this. JB Grimes was only hired after Hand turned us down numerous times.

One more Arkansas St offensive assistant isn't the end of the world.

No it ain't. Malzahn will hire who he's comfortable with in his system and who he believes they can be successful with on offense. He's making great hires on defense because that isn't his specialty. He needs extensive experience there and we are getting it.

I know that Twitter and texting are the hot rage these days but it has demolished the English language. I had a guy that worked for me that sent me a facebook message one day and it was a-hole speak like that and I couldn't even figure out what it was attempting to say.

BB hired RB coach Joel Thomas from Washington. So...? Horton's got other experiences and he's their Recruiting Coordinator, so BB might be well served to keep him.
