It doesn't take much to develop wr's just recruit which is why he's here

We just need to work on them catching the ball.

Trooper Taylor did a great job of developing WRS here. Zachary and Adams were nobodies before he arrived. Turned Burns into a serviceable option in 2010. Developed Blake as well.

Meanwhile our WRS now cannot catch or block

I disagree. It's a very technical position. Obviously being a freak athlete like Randy Moss helps, but there's a reason Jerry Rice, who had average athleticism for a WR, is by far the greatest of all time.

Normally the transition to WR for a former QB is easy because they know the WRs job and how the QB sees the field, so WR coach is the most logical place for Craig when Gus and Rhett already "coach" the QBs. But I guess the coaching transition isn't as smooth. Just look at guys like Darvin, T-Zach, and Emory under Trooper. None of them are anymore athletic than somebody like Tony Stevens or Melvin Ray. The only WR who IMO showed any degree of progression under Craig was Sammie Coates, but he didn't really play much in 2012 so we don't know how good he really was then.

Don't be stupid. Troop deserves shite but every stop he has made his WRs improved and had a dropoff whe. He left.

Every position needs to be developed. Technique is being taught even when you make it to the NFL.

I miss me some trooper taylor. I never understood the hatred for him. People said he was dirty recruiting but no evidence ever came forward. I think he was simply awesome at jimmie rustling.

Friggin Radio Foster would be wearing Orange and Blue now if we dont fire his arse.

He was a big part of a staff that had no discipline and lost control of the team. No thanks

In actuality the best place for a former HS QB is CB. You know why?

Because they can't catch. Look at all of ours

He was also apart of a staff that won the national championship and the position he coached is the only one that performed well each year

Any new word on DC candidates?

At this point, do we think maybe we are looking at someone in the NFL?

Since we are in the dead period and recruiting seems to be holding, it seems like there is no need to rush.

I believe it's a 2:30 kick. I need to try to stream some at the office and see our next DC in action.
