No doubt. Plus they will both be in their proper positions. Duke is not a known product to many fans...yet. He comin' though, I assure you.

Montravius Adams looks good. He is gonna go off this year, and once he does it won't be pretty for a few QB's.

I believe Cass and Frost will play up to expectations this season and give us the best combo we have had in a while.

This above anything else would get our defense over the hump.

Absolutely. I feel great about out Dline. I'm hesitant to say it but I feel really good about our LB's too especially Cass. Been watching a lot of last years games and Cass has a nose for the ball.

Ladarious Owens and Dismukes on Braden Smith

“That’s a huge dude,” Owens says. “When I first saw him on his recruiting visit I thought he was somebody’s dad.”

Don't feel like reading the thread, but is there any word on therezie?

Saw where garrett appeared to be working with the ones. Didn't know if that meant anything.

No word from the staff about anything going on with therezie. As far as JG getting reps with the ones Malzahn said he and Therezie would "share" the star position this year. Expect to see Garrett more against run first teams like Arkansas.

Therezie and Garrett have both been working with the ones. Gus didn't say anything about him being suspended which means that twitter rumor was total BS like we thought

No media at practice today. EJ says he's not please with LB group outside of Frost and Cass. Said the back up spots are wide open

Moved Holsey back to corner because they wanted a bigger physical guy there.

Garrett is back at Star full time. EJ said "If that kid could have a full season of games, he could still be one of our (biggest) playmakers."

Looking like there will be some position changes but too early to tell.

Tre Williams among guys picking this up faster than EJ thought he would.

Markell Boston has stood out in practice. Made two good plays today.

EJ said "Gabe Wright may be our best DT and DE"

Cass has been good, really good. Kris has been Sharp too.

EJ names Nick Ruffin as someone who's been making "flashy" plays as well.

Monty working exclusively at DT so far.

Rudy Ford has looked really good so far. "Jumps Out, looks really different than the spring"

Cass getting some work at DE rushing the passer

Joe Turner and Roc from Today

Just read this today and forgot about all the turnover the defense has had to deal with lately...
quote:

For the first time in four years, Auburn's defense is working in the same system under a returning defensive coordinator, a luxury few of the Tigers' defenders have ever experienced.
Damn EJ is getting my hopes up
quote:

"We have got an excellent retention and carry-over," Johnson said on Sunday. "It's just amazing how far ahead we are from where we were about the same time last year as far as getting things done, not having repeated mistakes, and just kind of knowing how things fit together."
quote:

"We've got a lot of starters coming back, and since I've been here, I've been in two or three different defensive systems and we've never had a chance to get into (a rhythm)," McKinzy said. "But now I feel like we can be top-five or even the best."
quote:

"(We're) very overlooked," linebacker Kris Frost said. "I feel like this year, we're going to show a lot of people a lot of things, and we're going to take care of that."
So much sunshine so far.
quote:

In the Tigers' Dime package, Kris Frost, a more natural player in coverage, will be Auburn's lone linebacker, freeing up McKinzy to rush the passer off the edge.

McKinzy has the natural athleticism for the role.

"When we go one-on-one with the running backs he's the best I've got, with them trying to block him. He's gotten up to around 250, maybe a little more, but hee's still one of the quicker kids we've got," Johnson said. "He can do a lot of things (as a pass rusher) but he doesn't know how to do them right now."

We can win without all of them. Not worried.

The talent gap between Mincy and a backup CB can't be that great. Mincy was picked on all last year. Holsey will be ready.

Therezie being out would mean it's time for A-Day Garrett to step up and prove his worth. Not worried.

We can live without Marshall til K-State and maybe even LSU.

We're fine
