I saw that the Auburn University plane went to Tuscaloosa. There for 6 minutes. Just long enough to pick someone up. Could that be T-Rob?

Wishful thinking and plane tracking...

From the 247 Article about Caddy's resignation ,

quote:

As Auburn’s quarterback coach in addition to coordinator, Montgomery is expected to be replaced by current analyst Kent Austin

I done told y'all this shite and got downvoted to hell.

OC Kent Austin, come on down!

(I don't like it any more than you do)

Can you explain why you are basically freaking out in several threads? Asking for a friend.

Sure, I'll be glad to clarify for you. In this thread, I am reporting that Kent Austin, who I understand to be (and have said previously) a pretty good quarterbacks coach, but seems rather a lackluster OC for a program like Auburn, is being reported by 247 as being the expected OC hire. I mentioned a day or two ago that I was afraid this was going to happen, and I don't like it now any more than I liked it then.

In the other thread, I mentioned that I wish we had a more stable look going for ourselves during a time when our across-state rival is in a state of upheaval.

I don't consider either comment "freaking out", but as this is an Internet message board, I understand opinions will vary.

Also, you're late for your Metamucil.

247 says they expect him to be Qb coach not OC. Nix from Ole Miss is the choice for OC/RB coach with Freeze calling plays.

I just go with Taco Bell, it’s a little more tasteful, not much but goes down better and results are close to the same.

Well, it’s a little like freaking out because they are reports and rumors right now. Yeah, I would like a little more stability but it isn’t going to be horrible by spring. Should see more stability as the hires take place and freeze will be taking over play calling.

You’re up kind of late, did you lose your binky?

Oh, and thanks for answering.

He is the QB coach and from everyone I know they say he is one of the best in the business in all of football.

I’ve listened to several Walker White interviews, and he always brought up Austin as a reason why he committed.

Worse than you think, I'm in Eastern time this week. I lost the ability to digest Taco Bell at 30. I apparently lost the ability to go to sleep at a decent time at 40.

Lanier says wait till you get in your mid 50’s. You will love tequilla as a sleep enhancer.

Oops forgot to add. Because he is really old

Was Roberts officially fired? When will new coordinators be named?

Roberts already accepted another position at UF. If the new DC is Kiffin, we’ll have to wait until the Texans season is over.

They’ve officially announced Kelly. Listed as co-DC. Makes it sound like they could potentially go the route of adding T-Rob as one of the secondary coaches.

Said before that I’m a big fan of Kelly but dislike the hire more the closer he is to calling the defense. Appears Hugh is going all out on talent acquisition. Wonder if Saban retiring has him leaning that way. Still personally would have preferred Arnett but I’m an idiot on the internet

Charles Kelly officially announced (finally) as CO-DC. No mention in the announcement as to what specific position he will coach. Obviously this infers that there will also be "another" DC
