Bucky, you should be the one collecting the downvotes accusing corch of being racist on weak evidence. Argue with him without being a pussy.

Good morning.

If Austin is confirmed as SecDef, I wonder if the Auburn "system" would be the first non military academy to have had degree holders in the top two Pentagon spots.

better college than a college like Troy that has no successful or recognizable alumni.
Dude you are so wrong. A ton of military members have graduated from Troy as it was a degree they could pursue while on Active duty while deployed and at their duty station. I served with many. I would say that they are successful. You really need to take a step back as you may choke yourself with all of that shoe leather in your mouth.

Yeah Pedro didn't have a great career at Auburn but he's done well since he graduated. I worked with him at Mirant and he was a high flyer even back then. Since many of us came back into the fold at Southern Company it's been interesting to watch his success.

Mirant. Been a few years since I heard that name. The "Enron" portion of Southern Co however it was separate other then virtual ties. Yeah Pedro was on a Covid and Diversity and Inclusion committee this summer.

So anyways, yes, Lloyd Austin getting confirmed would be a great thing for Auburn. Pretty cool to see. He spoke at my graduation.

The guy is dang sharp too, so I think regardless of where you are politically, you should be excited he will be a part of the Biden administration.
