Don't know who has played better overall, but both have horrible technique and footwork.
Bo's mechanics are well documented here. Pappoe takes false steps all the time. He will misread a play and crossover and run a bad angle to the edge.
Both would probably be very solid SEC football players if they had any sort of decent fundamental footwork. They're both physically gifted, for sure, but just are not fundamentally sound at all.

Pappoe is playing out of position, He should be a Will not a Mike.
Nix is also playing out of position, he should be a backup, not a starter.

Pappoe is playing OLB where he has always played. Zakoby is playing the Mike in KJ’s absence

Neither have lived up to their billing to this point, and what’s sad, is neither seem to be trending in the direction to do so.
Neither are young or have the excuse of “learning” anymore. They’ve both been in the system long enough and played enough to be considered veterans. That’s just reality.

They are 17 games into College, and throw a pandemic on top to boot. Sure, we all wish they were playing at a higher level right now, but to be elite, all-SEC caliber studs in this short amount of time is just unrealistic expectations.
