Saban got the control first, and then got the wins.

God I can't wait for him to leave and everyone he's gotten in line tries to grab power. It's going to be a glorious shitshow.

Yep, that is true

Also, I am hopeful for a total meltdown there for sure. Lol

I'm expecting it. It takes a certain person to get an entire booster system to realize who the tip of the spear is.

That's arguably Saban's greatest accomplishment in my eyes, that he's kept them in check for nearly 15 years.

Agreed, but I think he was able to tame that beast because of the early success. Harsin can get away with this year but next has to have marked improvement. Then that third year better be a barrel of lotion type season.

Saban's 3rd year was title year.

Either Harsin turns into the drag racin' world beater he was at Boise, or he becomes Geoff Collins, with no proof of concept after 3 years.

i'm not going to say i expect a championship in year 3 to consider CBH a success, but i would say a 10 win season.

People need to stop comparing everything to saban. He has a long leash from the NCAA. He has unlimited resources at bama. They have been spending more than $1M a year bringing in players. NIL will help us, but we have to figure out a way for it to help.

Something that will be magical for Harsin's career at Auburn is not losing games he should have easily won.

If he wins 10, we're winning the West most likely. Or whatever it's going to be called once we add Kansas's whipping post and our future QB's former school

I just want to say frick Nick Eason for taking a lateral move after 1 year. At least Muschamp left for step up when he did it.

As far as what we're losing.. not much imo. He was a decent recruiter, but its not like he was bringing in a great class this year either. His coaching seemed to be fine, not great, and if he was the one responsible for the poor DL rotation and a couple of other things, it hurts even less losing him.

My only concern is I'm not fully confident in whoever Harsin brings in next, especially with Mason going into the last year of his deal.. Will a good DL coach want to come in when he could be out of a job after a year is Mason leaves?
