Yeah, early on he looked like a freshman, making lazy passes, forcing bad shots, getting pushed around… but one shot late, he nailed a jumper falling backwards and the look on his face was absolutely pro level focus. If he could play a full game that dialed in, he’d be an absolute menace.

Hot take- Nick was really a next level gamer, a dog’s dog- maybe a little more so than Cam given he didn’t have Cam’s physical form.

He’s going to do things like that because he’s a freshman, but my point is in crunch time, when you absolutely have to have it, when the game is on the line, he transcends all classes because he has “it”.

Anyway.. happy we started playing good ball there in the 2nd half. Maybe it was nerves on both teams that caused that 1st half.. bad half of basketball for both teams.
Hopefully we play like we should for 40 minutes tomorrow and the rest of the way. Not many games left...

All game I was just waiting for any guard to settle in and string together a couple nice plays of any kind offensively. Tahaad and Denver both did and the game was over.
Even though the lead was only 10 with like 5 minutes left you could just tell Michigan was done. They had already blown their load.
