I wouldn't mind seeing Chaney on clayborn some Saturday. Chaney is long and athletic enough to stop the drives. I think Chaney wins that marchup more than he losses

If I was coaching against them I'd sink the defense toward the goal and make denver shoot a three or CBM drive into a crowd.

I don't know much about basketball, but I was listening to a podcast where they agreed that perimeter shooting is going to suffer greatly because of this venue being so large and open...it screws with the shooter's depth perception. Seems like a legitimate point. Have any of the coaches/players said anything about this?

In all my years of rooting for our blue blood basketball program, this may be the first time hearing this issue.

I guess Although many said I was the next Jordan, I surprisingly never made it past middle school ball

CBM is who I am most worried for. Not because he’s slacking, he seems genuinely hurt (shoulder and hip). I don’t think he’s having full rotation around his hips and seems limited. Hope the week long layoff helped.

I think this is a good omen I saw this week literally behind my fence - battered and bruised, but still defiantly standing tall and proud. Let’s get some deer antler spray on and heal our boys!

I haven't heard our guys specifically mention it, but it is a thing that has been around for a while. I remember back in Syracuse's heyday, opposing coaches in the Big East coaches complaining that 'Cuse had a competitive advantage playing in the Carrier Dome.

It's mostly a myth since the statistical analysis that has been done on it shows an insignificant drop in shooting percentages in domes vs "normal" basketball arenas. Official NCAA stats show a drop in domes, but it is negligible. You could probably even chalk some of it up to a placebo effect since the players that do believe in the "dome effect" have it in their heads before they even step on the floor and start trying to compensate for it.

If there is a significant drop in particular domes (NRG in Houston is one example where there was a larger difference while the old Georgia Dome had slightly higher avg fg percentages) it is probably because your team has made a deep run in the NCAA tourney and the quality of your opponent is higher than normal. But some players and coaches absolutely believe in it.

He certainly would help defensively against their size.

The downside is as a 30% free throw shooter, it is hard to have him on the court in a tight game near the finish.

He did make one the other day, but Chaney is the best foul shooter of our forwards who play big minutes.

I guess there is some confusion around who constitutes Top 25 (AP, Coaches etc.) Another response I got is UCLA.

I searched for a record of Nate Oats vs Rick Barnes and couldnt get the same answer twice.

And in other news, Tre Donaldson is transferring (again), and Tony Barbee was just fired (again).

Cardwell and Broome's FT % is probably the biggest weakness of the team.

Foul either of them and its nearly as good as an on-demand turnover whenever you need one or two or four.
