Freeze said earlier that he is not a "bowl grinder" meaning he doesn't make his guys practice hard. I've heard other coaches say this and I don't get it.

I saw that. I think he even said he took some of the practices off. Not sure if he was doing that to give them a break or because of the amount of guys that were sick.

Freeze is going to be fired if all he focuses on is recruiting and not coaching. He was hired for his playcalling abilities. Without them he will have a short stint on the plains

It’s year 1. Recruiting is what we needed. Players have to come to play they shouldn’t have to be fired up by the coaches to play with effort

Yeah and he has admitted this in so many words. He can't say it too direct without pissing off the players already on the team.
I kinda admire the way Deion went about it at Colorado. He held a team meeting and told them how badly they sucked and that most of them needed to transfer.
