If Muschamp comes to Auburn I don't see us not having T-Rob come home either

I agree and I am not arguing otherwise but Florida is going to make an big effort to keep most if not all of their defensive staff.

I have heard that Foley wants to keep them and that was part of the deal with McElwain. That it was understood that he would agree to keep as many of their defensive coaches that would stay.

I didn't hear any chatter about it until a couple days ago.

It wasn't anticipated because it would be stupid for SCar to offer it.

Interesting. I seemed to remember it from the get go. Or perhaps it just made too much sense that it's surprising that it wasn't anticipated.

I think it would be stupid too but it would be the one thing that would push scar over the top. I'd expect them to utilize their one advantage.

Everyone talked about USCe because he would be the obvious choice to take over if he took the DC job.

The HCIW idea wasn't too old but still old news by the time PMarsh put out some articles

So nothing happening today, obviously. Any rumors or anything I can distract myself with?

Theres a whole lot of smoke with the USCe HCIW "unofficially wink wink" deal. That one reporter from the USCe Scout board is doubling down on his report, and a few of the USCe insiders are saying it has some substance.

Honestly, if theres this much drama to it, I'd almost say lets move on and get someone else. Muschamp would be an instant recruiting advantage, but there are equally other good x's and o's DC's out there we could get.

Interesting. If USCe is truly that desperate for a DC, let them have it.

Yeah if anyone knows how meaningless that title is it would be Muschamp.

Y'all know all the drama is just on the message boards right? In reality, there isn't much.

I don't see Durkin going anywhere with Muschamp at this point, I could even see him staying at UF to prove himself as a stand alone DC without him. The position coaches will be an interesting fight though.

Honestly, it's a more irrational move for USCe than Muschamp. I don't believe they would make that move. Reeks of message board desperation.

If I was Muschamp I would take that deal but I make them set a timeline to become HC or my pay would go way up.

But if I was USC there is no way I would offer it. A couple years of good defenses isn't worth a 2 or 3 meh football seasons when he becomes HC. It's like basically forfeiting 2 or 3 seasons to get a DC.

If Muschamp does well at Auburn for 2 or 3 seasons he can get a better job than USCe
