DC coached a good game... until it was all on the line. Then, an epic shite of the bed. Imagine that on your resume. Lost a HUGE rivalry game by only rushing TWO players on 4th and 31!
Freeze has to go out and get new coordinators! Both! I'm certain the improvements we have all seen on offense, is due to Freeze taking over that side of the ball. Too bad he's not a defense guru too! DAMMIT! THAT GAME WAS frickING OVER!

Dumbest D I've ever seen since that MSU game where the DC rushed 3 all night while the secondary was cut into little pieces.

At some point, you also just have to accept that our guys just lost the game. That 3rd down run was just abysmal execution and containment. Same with the punt and 4th down play.
Legit gripe only rushing two guys, but how do our guys lose bracket coverage? Not saying coaching is not partially responsible, but the guys in the field just failed at the end. Sucks but is what it is.

That was a really stupid defensive call on the part of Ron Roberts. He needs the boot ASAP.
He's done some good things and sometimes played aggressive, but rushing 2 on 4th and 31 is the damn dumbest D I've seen of late!

A solid DC and a receivers coach too. Our receivers are either butter fingers or stone hands. There are coaches who can fix that crap.

You can do whatever you want. Just saying the coaches don’t muff a punt, or give up a 20 yard scramble in third and long when they lose contain, or lose bracket coverage on 4th and 31.

It got personal with us over politics, a while back. I’ve been warned like 2-3 times over there but not in YEARS. Idk what I said to get banned but I know it wasn’t ban worthy…it’s personal.

I dont know. I think with a modest pass rush and cautious pass coverage we wouldve won that game.
The third and 20 I agree... Defending QB's that like to leak out is a nightmare.

Don’t disagree, which a why I said legit gripe about only rushing 2. I’m not only blaming players. We should have rushed more. That being said, we don’t muff a punt and game is probably over. DJ James is in perfect position and somehow gets juked in the corner and has no idea where the ball is. Whatever safety was supposed to be over there was nowhere to be found. We had multiple opportunities to end the game and the players failed on the field.

1) The coaches put in a punt returner who hadn't touched the ball all game for absolutely no reason and he muffed the punt. It was a moronic coaching decision.
2) Losing bracket coverage on 4th and 31 is not at all unfathomable when you let the QB stand in the pocket for 10+ seconds. Deion Sanders in his prime can't cover a receiver indefinitely. SO MUCH can go wrong for a DB over that obscene length of time: he can slip, he can run into a teammate, he has to worry about pass interference or holding, etc, etc. It was a moronic coaching decision.
Using your logic, there is no such thing as a bad coaching decision because theoretically the players can always "make a play". When Nick Saban lost on the Kick Six, it wouldn't have mattered that he left zero athletes on the field to cover a potential return if his kicker simply made the field goal attempt.

This has happened all season. They’ve switched plenty. This is just looking for something to gripe about. The coaches aren’t the one making this change.
