My takeaway is just to keep it close. Houston is skrong and I expect that class and quality to show out.

We can make everyone forget about the Bethune-Cookman game today.

I'm not buying this Houston team as elite but I think they wear us down. Houston 71-61.

Any way it breaks in this game will tell us a lot about the team, that's for sure.

Just hope Tahaad can get his feet back underneath him. In a game like this having only one reliable scorer vs two will be the difference.

Gonna find out how Hall stacks up against top shelf talent today.

Feels to me like we have plenty of talent, but they have long way to go to be a well oiled machine. Last game a few allie-oops didn't work because the timing wasn't there.

It will be good for the new guys to understand the physicality at the rim. That will be a big key, can we finish strong or get bodied and miss contested layups

The Cougars return three key players from last year’s run to the national title game — Emanuel Sharp, a 40% 3-point shooter who was second on last year’s team in scoring, Milos Uzan, who shot 43% from outside and was the Cougars’ third-leading scorer last year, and Joseph Tugler, last year’s team leader in blocks.
This is Houston's advantage.

Just want us to be competitive.

He's a Cardwell style wrecking machine inside. Hopefully we can get him in foul trouble early with Hall and Freeman going to the hoop, he's super aggressive and super physical. Not that Houston's whole team doesn't play that way though I suppose.

Wife and I have tickets and headed in now. Hoping we keep it close and show fight. If we get blown out I think that might set the tone for the next 2 weeks. If we can win or at least keep it a fight then we can go into Vegas with some confidence and make a run

We need Murphy back if we’re gonna have a chance today. This is his kinda game.

Wouldn't hurt for Jovic to relax a bit... he's too tight and tentative which is hurting his flow (and speed).
