I have an opinion, just like everyone else but I'm not going to be blindly optimistic. I think it's frustrating after what's happened the last two years And knowing we can and should be doing so much better. At least it's basketball season and the basketball program appears to be headed in the right direction. You can disagree with my opinion, but I hope we're beyond middle school insults.

i have been as frustrated as anyone on this board about the results of the past season and a half, some of it being just bad luck, Lawson going down for extended periods of time, Duke being a head case, the unexpected collapse of JJ, and also some of Malzahn`s play calling and his seeming hard headiness..but i can`t believe the coach that was responsible for 10 and 13 didn`t just got lucky twice and stumbled into two national championship games, that just doesn`t happen. Maybe i`m the last of the posibarner`s but i think we bounce back. As anyone who follows AU history knows when it looks the worst it seems to be where we are at our best..and right now it looks bad.

I guess my point is that I cannot really think of what else the head coach is supposed to say in this situation.

Again, if next season is a trainwreck, then there is literally nothing to be done about it right now.

Before any hiring, a new AD probably needs to be in place. So I am not sure how much good it does to pile on the program knowing that it will be most likely a year before any change would even be considered. If it is cathartic for some, I guess there is nothing wrong with posting frustrations --- I just do not see why these comments would be the ones to focus your ire on.

Would we prefer he had given the Spurrier pep talk like preseason?

Agree. I do think Gus is still learning how to run a major college program. I will say it again........we can not keep turning over the entire staff every 4-5 years. If we do, we will be rebuilding for the next decade and a half.

but we cant keep going through DC and OC until we finally realize that the HC is the one making the hires. Add in the fact that our AD is offering the worst fricking contracts imaginable. And dont give me that rebuilding for a decade and half bull shite. Talk about over exaggerating. It took us one year to get over a 3-9 season

With a coach that had recruited the entire O side of the ball to run his O.

i dont think we are as bad off as we are trying to make it sound. Our defense has been terrible for years and swapping Defense staffs isnt going to change it overnight no matter who we hire.

If Sean is healthy and Carl comes back, we will be fine

This was the kind of season for it, for sure.

JJ implodes
Duke kicked off
Lawson goes down first game
Sean White gets broken
Golston goes down for last two games
DC gets offered a HC job after a 6-6 season at another SEC school and takes T-Rob with him.

Sheesh.

Agree. Gus has had tremendous success with O every year he has been in the college game, except last year. The D side of the ball is what needs working on. I think White is a very capable QB. I am not sure we can win a NC with him, but I don't live for that. I just want us to be a consistently quality program.

Gus missed on his first choice for DC. That doesn't mean he won't be able to bring in a competent DC.

I'm tired of the coaching carousel......Bama went through this from Stallings to Saban.......I don't want to see Coach Malzahn leave or get fired, but more importantly, I don't want to see coordinators (especially Alums) turn us down because they're afraid our head coach will be fired next year. That's squarely on the Athletic Director irrespective of the fan base's desires and quite frankly, makes us look like a dumpster fire!

You know why we are going through a coaching carousel? Because JJ has hired two unproven head coaches. You can lay this on his door step. God I hope he goes Monday. Would be the best thing that has happened to Auburn in many years.

He doesn't debate back. You make a counter point and he does is bleed his bullshite all over the board. I have nothing against someone constantly living their life thinking that the sky is falling, but I would like for them to be able to carry on a conversation as opposed to just shitting everywhere all the fricking time. It is truly miserable to have to be around someone who is that big of a "whoa is me."

I agree. DyeHardDylan though is a bad poster, I don't care if he posts, just needs to stop starting new threads at every corner

Yeah... it's not the dissenting opinion that's a problem... it's the bullshite delivery.

We can disagree and that's fine... but at least make a point... The OP comes across as a tard with a keyboard IMO.

I don't see anything wrong with the OP. Maybe the problem with this thread is that there is a bunch of hairy vaginas complaining about the delivery of a post?
And lowspark, I swear to God you bitch about everybody. Quit being a puss.
