I was at the game. Malik is bigger than I anticipated. A big arm as well.

Same thing they said about Jalen Hurts. Guess we'll see.

At least not until he’s drafted in the first round

Going first round for WIllis is an honor.
But doesn't make him a tonified starting NFL QB.
It's a weak draft, as others have pointed out, who knows if a successful QB in college transforms into a quality NFL starter with all the complexities that goes with it.

From what I’ve read he didn’t put the time and preparation to be the starting QB and even admitted to doing so. We can blame al we want but I’m not sure we can blame the coaches on this one

Yeah, he couldn’t run the read option properly, which is something anyone on the field and stands can do.

That’s fine and all but OP said Malik wasn’t an NFL quarterback. Whatever you think about his abilities, that is the most retarded statement in any thread on the first page about a former Auburn QB

Obviously if he gets drafted, he will be a NFL Qb. I think the sentiment here, and I am speaking for myself, is that his tool set does not seem to be that of a typical NFL QB. And Im talking a contributing one. A successful one. As much as I like Malik and pull for him, his toolset seems more of a College or High School style offense
But we will see and I will certainly be pulling for him every step of them way

Totally.
ANd If I remember Liberty when they played a better defensive and quality opponent outside of their conference, WIllis struggled.
He can make in the NFL, which in itself, is a great accomplishment after transferring from AU.
But we know Gus really doesn't develop QBs, unless they already have specific skill sets(Cam, Stidham).
But being a 1st round pick doesn't prove he will be a successful NFL QB.

Watching ESPN at the bar. They have Willis listed as the number 3 overall prospect. Guess Gus missed on that one?

Gus rehired Chip Lindsey btw.
