Are you an idiot? Every scouting publication from PFF, NFL Network, and ESPN has him as a first round QB. They do caveat as a weak class but still have him a day 1-2 rounder.
Your feelings about him does not change that.

11 carries for -5 yds against a below avg SEC defense

Malik Willis wouldn’t be starting over Bo Nix this year. Couldn’t blame Malzahn either….

He's been sacked like 5 times. Liberty can't block Ole Miss...

First really bad thrown by Willis today. Really bad INT. The other one was a perfect throw and the receiver bobbled it into the defender's hands.

LU OL is trash… but Willis isn’t an nfl quarterback.

He's been sacked 29 times this season going into this game (2nd most in the nation) and Ole Miss has 7 sacks at half-time today. His offensive output this season is extremely impressive given how horrendous their OL is.

He’s 6/11 for 59 yards and 2 picks and zero points in the first half against an Ole Miss team missing 9 starters.. What am I missing here?

I dont think so but thats not for me to determine

Just because he gets drafted in a year where there are no other choices, that does not make him a successful NFL QB. He does not have the skills to play in the NFL
If Nick Marshall did not have what it took to play in the NFL, Malik does not. Nick was faster and more athletic and he did his damage in college against the highest level. Not at Liberty
So I stand by my statement. No matter how much I and others root for him, he is not a NFL caliber QB

Whoever takes Willis as the number 2 QB is an idiot. He's not tiny but you can't expect a running QB to get you where you want to go in the playoffs without arm talent. He has a strong arm, very strong but you'd be drafting off potential. It'd be a massive risk because you can run the ball in the NFL but you can't take many hits.
agree. And I don't think he goes #2 at all anyway.
We know the QB draft this year is really weak.
There have been other years in the draft where QBs were drafted in the first round and never looked like Pro QBs when they had to play against NFL defenses, and learn complicated offenses too.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see him having that zip on his balls. He can go deep, and he does well with accuracy although he tends to sidearm his throws.

Agree with that. His mobility saved him for the most part. But it also probably caused some of those recorded sacks. Runs by the QB behind the LOS are sacks
He had the opportunity to get rid of the ball a few times today when he got sacked. He cant just take the sacks when he can get rid of it
But Liberty has not been facing this kind of competition this year. Ole Miss is a different level from what Liberty and Malik has been playing against

And College Success =/= NFL success.
Plenty of College Stars sitting at home right now.
People think propping up Willis is a shot at Bo buts it not. Malik got his degree as an Auburn man, rolled out and is having success.
