I believe what people are referring to with his arrest record being removed is actually just an inmate roster with the charges listed. Once he post bail he is removed from that list

I’m starting to get the feeling things aren’t going to go well for Malcolm. Normally when I reach out in situations like this there is some talk about. No one is saying anything at this point which has always been an indication that the university is circling the wagons for dismissing the player.

I am not saying that is what is going to happen but when the university has been this silent on a situation in the past that’s what happens.

If it’s come out that he did what’s being said then we move on and have plenty of talent in that position particularly. Does it hurt? Yes. Will one WR in that deep A** room break us this season. No.

I don't think anyone here expects him to remain with the team

I'm disappointed that he's not already off the team. Barber did less and was gone in under 2 days. Simmons should have been gone the next morning, but I guess since he's a better player the rules are different.

I’d make a safe assumption that since we haven’t made any real comments on this or taken action, it’s not nearly as cut and dry as Barber’s. I’m fine with taking their time to make sure all the facts are actually facts before taking action. Situations like this, where I’m assuming it’s a lot of he said/she said, do our due diligence. If he is guilty, he’s gone.

So if proven innocent will his NIL take a hit?

I read something online from the local paper that said she had bruising on both sides of her neck. I don't see any scenario where that leads to him coming back assuming it's true

I don’t think anyone is under the delusion he’ll be coming back if everything is true. Unfortunately, in this day and age, this wouldn’t be the first time a story like this ended up being a fabrication or an attempt at framing someone else when they weren’t actually the one that did it, for advantageous reasons.

That said, if it’s all true, absolutely awful and no place for it. Can’t say that enough. I just have no problem with the program making sure they truly know what all happened first.

what if she asked him to do her dirty style and choke her out while bangin the hell outta her and it totally back fired on him

Exactly, Barber's case they had the evidence right there.

Domestic issues have two sides. Maybe he did......then again you know he got a huge NIL bump with the way he finished the season, maybe someone wanted a piece of it. Always two sides, let due diligence take its course.

Barber- A plant that's legal in many states and a legal handgun. Kicked off before he could defend himself (Not saying I think this.. but for all we know that weed belonged to the passenger, maybe it was under the seat and he had no idea it was in the car.... again, not saying I think that, but there are defenses for that and we didn't wait to hear them)

Simmons- Allegedly beats and strangles a woman. No action.

One guy kicked off the team. The other guy not even so much as a suspension yet. Its because Simmons is a impact player so they are giving him a longer leash. Really disappointed in the handling for this. 4 days and still haven't suspended a potential woman beater.

I don't agree with kicking Barber off, but Freeze is the coach and can run his ship as tight as he wants to. All I ask if for the same consistency and not disappearing when its an impact player.

It seems you’re actually asking for inconsistency for Simmons and action being taken before all the facts are known.

I don’t understand why you are acting like we aren’t going to take any action if things are true, when they’ve flat out said they are waiting to get all facts before taking action.

Now we are just being obtuse.
