Who is the last QB to leave a prominent starting position to simply transfer to another school for money? I

There are multiple every season, it's not like it's some rarity. Notre Dame has gotten their QB the past two seasons that way with Leonard and Hartman

Cam Ward for Miami. The issue is there are very few that are true no-brainer upgrades like that, and you have to pay out the butt for them.

Most of them are good QBs moving up conferences/levels or guys that missed out of starting jobs at real schools.

Sorry for the double post, but I think Tulane's RB is going to be our portal pickup. He is naheem offord's brother.

Yep. I think him, the girlfriend, and $$$ are our selling points to Offord. His brother is legit.

Are there other names being floated?

There will be someone who is a one and done picked up. Chatter going on since the beginning of the season. No name yet but should be someone who may be a surprise. Let's hope.

It is the most important position on the field.

I think we all know it now

Offord's girlfriend is in Bham with him and supposedly they are not your typical HS relationship and being close to her is a real factor.

Miller Moss may hit the portal.

Reports that Lincoln Riley is benching Moss this week and he is a transfer possibility.

If he can't cut it in Riley's system, what will be the difference that he will make it here?

Do we? Some people around here are not taking into account just how awful PT has been and held back the offense. Freeze’s offense will put up big numbers with the right trigger man.

Really?

Thorne didn’t throw a pick against Vandy and Freeze managed to put up a whopping 7 points at home. Giving his best offensive player the ball 10 times in the first half and only twice in the second half was just asinine.

Thorne’s talent is somewhat sufficient although his accuracy leaves something to be desired. But the biggest detraction is that he is not a clutch player. He doesn’t want the ball when the game is on the line. He doesn’t command respect and guys won’t kill for him. He's low energy. He’s like having a low cpu-speed robot back there.

So that’s how low we set the bar for QB play now?

Called multiple plays where the touchdown was there if PT could’ve hit the WR…

Word is Hunter was hurt, but I get what you’re saying.
