Seems that all we have talked about over the past week or so is the racist/non racist topic that seems to divide us and cause us to all be dick heads. Lets talk about a different subject

What do yall think Gus's offense will look like this year? Like last year? More read by Bo Nix? Is Gus gonna give the keys to Chad? And who is going to be the man behind Bo carrying the RB load?

What do you think Auburn peeps of many years? Love you all. White/Black/mixed and yes, even your yellow arse Jones.

It will look like 2017 and 2018 with Lindsey and Stidham. I believe the bringing in of Morris comes with a desire to air it out more.

More ready by Bo Nix?

I think Nix will be okay. I just hope that our OLine doesn't get him hurt. I am not very excited about that unit.

He will have as much say in the offense as Lashlee or Lindsey had. Gus will never relinquish the offense.

I think it will be a more by committee approach until Gus falls in love with one.

Until I see otherwise, it will continue to look the same as it has almost every year. A lot like last year. Our seemingly 5 play playbook of runs up middle, end arounds, deep bombs to sidelines 30 yards down field, and the rare qb keeper

Comes down to one critical component. The offensive line which as we all now as been straight up abysmal.

This team will establish the run. I think we’ll have a team that’s hungry to play all four quarters. We’ll look back and say this offense had a high motor

There will also be a lot of good weeks of practice.

With Chad as OC, Bo as the face of the face of the team, and all our talented WRs, I think we'll see a very effective passing game, and I think we'll throw the ball a lot more than we're used to

But it's not supposed to be his offense this year, right?

I agree. As much emphasis they are spending on TEs and DT type QBs, Gus is listening to Morris.

We have an idea how Morris runs an offense, so if Gus lets him, and he should based on our offenses the last 2 years, then we will see more of a variety of pass plays that use the TE, RBs, and throws to WRs based on better designed pass routes.

And after 3 games, if it starts to look like old Gus' offense, this post will self-destruct. :)

What do yall think Gus's offense will look like this year? Novel plays like hurry up inside zone might surprise the other team. Also flex out Bo, orbit motion reverse with a pitch to Bo and a long pass downfield. Maybe we won’t use the TE as much or vary depth of passes. Need verticals or bubble screens.

Like last year? More read by Bo Nix?
See above

Is Gus gonna give the keys to Chad?
Really? I will believe it when I see it.

And who is going to be the man behind Bo carrying the RB load? Committee: DJ, Tank, Joiner (but only for passes to RB)

Nope. Dont agree. Gus does not like running by committee.

He will pick a horse and ride him

Don't agree. I think Chad gets to control the offense this season.

Why do you think anything will be different? Because Gus said so?

You just broke the rules of the thread

You too Rocky

Back to OP

Gus is so sporadic I don't know. Maybe he will let Chad have more say over the offense than he has other guys and we can stop throwing 30 yard passes on 3rd & 1 or running the dive play on 3rd & 12.

Offense will be interesting to see this year. If Gus does not give Chad the offense then its very doubtful he will ever give it to anybody.

I just wanna see less screens and more intermediate passes.

Bo Nix was bottom 30 in YPA per ESPN. If thats the case again I dont think Gus will be our coach. Defense will almost certainly take at least somewhat of a step back. Offense has to be significantly better for us to push for 10 wins, which IMO is what Gus needs to win to prove himself

Mainly because Morris is a legit hire. The others were clearly just yes men.

Interesting that the got the mobile QB as a grad transfer. That way when Nix goes down before LSU and Bama, we can run read option down their throats.
