I called this during the year.. He doesn't fit into the 3-4 scheme (like many of our players).

Rumor that Pegues could be transferring soon too.

It’s comical at this point.

I would be shocked if Auburn won more than 8 games in 2022. We are looking at 6-7 wins.

There’s just been too much roster turnover.

15 kids have left via transfer portal and only 2 have come in. Unreal.

Every team is having a lot of turn over with the portal free year this year. There are over 4000 kids in the portal. Bama has lost over 20 players to portal and draft

At least we have some guys who can play there in Jayson Jones and Mbaa, but it sucks to lose Lee Hunter.

At this point almost the whole last recruiting class is a wash.

Good luck to him. I don’t care what anyone says… transferring after your freshman year is a bad look no matter the circumstances

This program is in a 4-5 year rebuild project. Gus Malzahn literally drove the program into the ground with abysmal recruiting on the offensive line and an outdated offensive system that he refused to adapt. We’re going to have a couple of more rough seasons until a potential turnaround around in a few years. It might not even be that early.

The 2023 class will set the groundwork for becoming competitive again on the O-line. We’ve got a good center already committed and are going to go hard after others.

The problem is we’ve got to be patient because those guys aren’t going to be able to seriously contribute until 2024 and 2025.

Maybe not. Harsin totally whiffed on offensive line in this 2022 class so it’ll be party on him along with Gus leaving him nothing to work with in the 2019 and 2020 classes. If we had landed some highly rated guys this year things would’ve looked more promising for 2023 and beyond. He essentially landed no tackles or interior lineman that were big names so now he’s behind a year.

Well I hope the next coach can use these players to at least get us back to the 8 win seasons. Because if it takes Harsin that long he'll be back out West.

No one is going to have rapid success at Auburn being sandwiched in between Kirby Smart and Nick Saban. NIL Auburn and the new football facility should help combat their elite recruiting but we’re miles behind them as a program.

Bad look bc a guy coming in expecting Gus/Steele got Harsin/Mason?

Maybe he doesn’t like learning the 3/4. Maybe he was totally sold on Eason and now he wants to be with him where he is now.

That’s on the oh well side of a transfer. And we are solid there.

If taking 4-5 years to get to 8 wins is rapid success then were in serious trouble. Good thing we're a basketball school.

As long as we don’t end up in Tennessee level darkness, I think I’ll survive. But ask me next year if we go 6-6 again.
