Not really enough time to get that set up by September.

Good thing I have access to the scholarship section

I don't necessarily agree, but I hope this is his reasoning. If he doesn't plan on offering it at all in the general seating areas, he can frick off.

We have over 90 days. The real problem is we have poor leadership that filters down to every aspect of our University.
By the way General Motors went from making cars to making airplane parts in 5 months during WW2. But we don't have enough to set up alcohol sales.

This. I'll chalk it up as not enough time to prepare.

All of our food service providers are third party, all have contracts requiring a certain level of training for employees, alcohol sales require a good deal of training, and when you mix that with a largely seasonal job you are talking a ton of coordination to ensure all required state and conference paperwork is correct.
Adding to that there isn't a good spot to barricade off an area to serve as an alcohol purchasing and consumption location. This will likely require some level of construction to have an area for 20,000 people to stand long enough to drink a beer. You've got to have TVs, fans, etc.

You mean when there were no hurdles, financial, personnel, or red tape to jump through?

What SEC schools are allowing it this year?

I don't think this is necessary unless I misread the restrictions. You should be able to take your beer back to your seat.

You should be able to take your beer back to your seat.
*Alcoholic beverages are to be sold and dispensed only at designated stationary locations.
You have to have designated locations (booths, concession stands)
*Alcoholic beverages may not be sold by vendors within seating areas.
You can't go up and down the stairways selling beer like you do soft drinks.
Nothing about not buying it at the location and not being able to go back to your seat. That would defeat a large part of allowing the sales to begin with.

That's how I read it too, referring to which concessions stands in JHS will sell it.

Hi, can I see your ID?
How much training does that require?

Go sit in your seat and enjoy a cold beer is not an option?

I didn't read it that way. The no sells by vendors in seating areas lead me to believe that alcohol would not be allowed in the seats.

That is referring to the drink vendors that are actually walking around the seats, the guys with the drink trays. Doesn't mean you can't take your concession back to your seat. They serve it in a cup so you can take it back into the stadium.

I would’ve been drunk as a skunk during the Auburn LSU game last year. It was incredibly hot and the cold beer would’ve gone down like water.

That makes more sense, I just didn't read it that way originally.

Yeah I think they're saying guys like this won't be selling beer. Fans will have to go get a beer if they want one.

Think about how much revenue is going to be missed knowing it's going to cost $10 per beer when it does happen.

OSU said they make about 1.25 million a year.
FWIW bama said they arent selling this year as well. so does the faux outrage continue with Auburn?
