T-Will is an SEC DC why would he come back to coach outside linebackers and edge players?

Promoting VKW from within seems to be working out well. Who was shadowing Aldridge?

Not sure. Curious if Durkin brings in someone more familiar with his system or not. Aldridge has been with Hugh for a while.

I like Aldridge a lot, think he is a very good recruiter. Our LB play this year though was pretty suspect and Asante took a big step backwards. Don't know how much was system or what.

I'm not sure if Asante was all that great anyway. He mightve just been a player that shines at moments on shitty teams. Just like Alan Flanigan did.

Very possible as well or he just fit better in Robert's system. No idea. Either way, sad to see Aldridge go, but I think it was only a matter of time before he got a DC gig. Hopefully, he does well and maybe we can bring him back downt he line.

Hoke confirmed a couple potential candidates this morning:

Clint Sintim - OLB Coach Illinois
Nick Williams - OLB/Edge Coach Syracuse

ETA: also seeing Roc Bellantoni and Jeremy Garrett's name thrown around

Not sure how I feel about bringing back anyone connected to the Harsin era. I did just read that he was fired, then rehired, within a week at FAU at the end of this season. Seems like his players really like him and basically got him his job back by saying he was a sacrificial firing by Tom Herman before he was fired.

Would make a lot of sense. Played at Georgia, coached with Durkin at A&M, and has been a solid recruiter.
