My step dad had to have his gallbladder removed. Said the pain was 100 times worse than any kidney stone he ever had.
Hope you're feeling better.

Wife had that exact thing happen 2 years ago. Doubled her flat over. Went to the doc and within 2 hours she was under the knife. Good news is that this is now an arthroscopic procedure. When my grandmom had this in the 70's they literally had to cut you half open and get under your liver. Was major (major) surgery. Thank God for modern medicine.
Bad news is that certain foods will be off your list...cheese and dairy in particular or you will be riding the throne all day. Can get to be a regular live fire exercise if you dont eat right.

Had this happen in college and ended up in the ER. That pain is no joke and nothing you do helps. They had me on morphine and the only thing that helped was them knocking me out. Unfortunately, I was at a crappy hospital who wasn’t able to figure out the problem.
I’ve had several flair ups since, but nothing close to the one that sent me to the ER. I’ve learned to deal with these small instances. Another big one and I’ll definitely have surgery though.

Get well Lanier. I had mine taken out my freshman year at auburn during spring break. Not fun. Stay close to a toilet for the next couple months

Had mine out out about 10 years ago, but never really had that problem...at least not more than usual

Mine wasn’t as bad as some of the stories I read and heard but there were definitely times after eating some fast food that I had to find a toilet in under 60 seconds or it was gonna be a bad day

Today I am having some serious abdominal pain. Like I did 2000 crunches yesterday. Plus lots of heartburn/gas pains. I think it is the air they pumped into my body cavity to do the operation trying to get out. Just comes and goes very quickly.
I had some eggs for breakfast and thats it. The hospital did a poor job with my release. I never even talked to the damn doctor after the surgery and they only gave me a few handouts about my diet. I am doing some searching today to figure out what the diet should be.
Yesterday at lunch, they gave me cream of chicken soup and pudding. Of course I could not eat the pudding because they did not give me any meat. That would be just wrong to do that.
Dinner was hamburger steak, mashed potatos and green beans. That was all fine.

I had appendicitis a few years ago and this was the worst part of my recovery. Once all the gas was gone it was smooth sailing.

Probably should keep your meats lean the next little while and reduce your overall fat intake to help your liver out
I don’t think there’s a tried and true way out of the gas that’s coming. So eat smaller portions more often and do your best. Sorry dude.
