I’ll have to look at Laramie and see what hospitals are there, I think I looked at it and Cheyenne a few months back, but didn’t dive too deep.

Always enjoyed my visits; however have often heard you need to pick your location with their church in mind, small towns especially.
Utah. No doubt.

Yeah, I got really lucky. There was a tree that started to fall towards my apt but stopped and only leaned towards it and they came and cut it down. Literally outside my complex trees down everywhere. I was without power for 4-5 days, and still don’t have internet. Using an iPad with WiFi hotspot. How about you?
No trees down in our yard, in fact not even any significant limbs, but we lost shingles down to the decking on our garage roof (which is old and needs replacing anyway) and a few off the house (replaced after Ivan in ‘04). Oh, and our basement got 10 inches of water in it, which serves us right for buying a house with a basement in FL.
It was my folks place in AL that we’re trying to clean out to sell that’s been the real PITA. Not much damage to the house itself, but trees down or fatally damaged all over the 2 acre lot, requiring removal to the tune of $25k. Headed that way this morning to check on my sister’s progress towards getting the rest of her shite out so we can have an estate sale.
Word of advice to all of you, especially those of you in the prime of life: get rid of as many of your material possessions as you possibly can NOW, while you’re still young enough to enjoy life. Or better still, don’t acquire them in the first place. But if you do, for God’s sake, don’t die and leave them to your family to deal with.

I have been working on all the little things that I need to do to our house in order to sell in a few years. I have a huge pine tree in my yard that is in between my house and my neighbors. This is a massive pine. It is on a hill and over the years, the soil has eroded around the roots and they are now above the ground level. The tree looks healthy as it can be but those high roots and the fact that it is so large scare me. Is it close enough and big enough that if it fell on my house or my neighbors, it would totally destroy either.
I had a few guys come out and look at it and they will need to climb it, cut it in sections then lower it down by rope one piece at a time due to its proximity to our houses. They are wanting $2500 to cut it take out the stump and discard of it.

I take it you had a incident? We didnt have to worry about that with my wifes dad last week. He didnt even have enough money in his account to pay for the funeral. We paid for that. Living in a care unit on Medicaid and never really making any money in his life left him totally broke

Salt Lake is less than 30% LDS. Really fun town.

Have always heard good ... but have only flown in and out.

Thinking about grilling a big pack of Hebrew Nationals for Georgia weekend... maybe some roasted dawg might help in a symbolic sort of way. What sides go with this theme?
Is there a smashed flat or run over dog brew?

Hot dogs are a great idea. Local butcher shop makes some in-house, all beef dogs that are easily the best I’ve ever had. Dogs, grilled peppers and onions sounds fantastic.

Kansas is perfect then. Why do you want to be close to Colorado?

Cool. Just assumed it was for something outdoors related.
Honestly, if outdoor stuff isn’t your deal then Kansas City is a great option. I actually like the town and it’s pretty affordable. Big enough for options and small enough to get around. It’s pretty affordable. Major airport. Good sports culture

If you are in Bham, go to the New York Butcher Shop and get their hot dogs. Pretty sure they use steak trimmings to make them. Easily, the best hot dogs I've ever had.

Got a letter today from Hall county. Looks like they are about to build one of those distribution warehouses across the street from my neighborhood. ??
Just can’t win.

My other one died and I haven’t gotten around to a new one. I also almost exclusively use this board on mobile so I don’t see avatars or sigs anyways
