The article on al.com says he broke it during Arkansas. Why the hell are we just hearing about it now? I've had a fractured bone before and it hurts like a mother. KP looked fine during the game. Is it possible he actually broke it in practice?

Gus said everyone was banged up. KP’s shoulder wasn’t getting better, and they Xrayed it Friday.

Scapula's don't appear to be easily banged up or go unnoticed. RIP Kerryon.

The shoulder blade (scapula) is rarely broken (broken bones are also called fractures). Of all bone breaks, shoulder blade breaks occur less than 1% of the time.

Other signs of a broken shoulder blade may include: Holding the injured arm close to the body
Moving the arm increases the pain Inability to lift the arm
Having pain with each deep breath due to movement of the chest wall with each breath; this movement may in turn move the shoulder blade, causing pain.
Shoulder appears flattened or deformed

Direct trauma such as from a baseball bat or hammer

I hate it for him, but he is made of glass. His body can’t handle his style of play.

Its a big loss. Doesn't matter when "we" found out. He is gone it appears and thats a big loss.

Hopefully KJ can play well and stay healthy. Not sure who the new #2 back will be. Malik Miller has not shown and real burst or big runs. Though he has not played a ton, he has not really shinned. Barrett could add some burst but not much in a a way of power.

Don't know what Kam Martins injury is but he could help as well. Basically, our season not rides on the injury prone KJ. Not good

O/U on number of carries by RBs other than KJ vs TAMU: 0.5

I'll take the under.

I think the number of injuries in general is indicative of the way we train. frick this millennial pussyfoot CrossFit bullshite that Russell brings. Fire him right along with Gus’s arse!

I swear it's like some of you don't know anything about football outside of Auburn.

The frustrating thing is, it is very apparent that both KP and KJ are injury prone. And, if KJ gets run into the ground against aTm and can't go against uga, we will have Martin, Miller, and Barrett with about 20 carries between them that we will have to rely on against what could be the #1 team in the country. We have had a lot of blowouts this year. Sure glad we were getting prepared.

I’m confused as to what was funny about that comment....
I’ve trained since I was 15, I’m 40 now. I played college football and continued training when that was over, competing in bodybuilding and powerlifting competitions. If you think that doing pansy arse CrossFit exercises is beneficial to this sport, then I can’t help you. If injuries and the numbers that our guys put up at the combine don’t concern you, then I don’t know what to tell you

We must blame someone for everything. Things don't just happen. They are caused by specific individuals

Not saying Russell caused these injuries. I do however think that the way we train an be attributed to the number of injuries we have every year. Do you think it’s coincidence?

Good lord you jump all over the place. First its the injuries, then its the combine numbers?

What I am laughing at is the notion that our S&C is responsible for all our injuries this season, even though we've largely been very fortunate with injuries since Russell has been here. Our RB injuries I would question more Malzahn's usage than our S&C program. Secondly, I wouldn't say our injury troubles have at all been out of the norm for college football, besides our streak of OL getting injured, which again I don't see in what world you'd blame those injuries on the S&C program. Finally, since when have our players been doing bad at the combine. Unless I'm forgetting someone, the overwhelming majority of our players really helped their draft stock at the combine.

Do you have numbers backing up AU having more injuries compared to the rest of CFB?

I'm curious to what Russell does that is different than any of our competitors.

We traditionally put up weak numbers at the combine, sorry not looking that up for you...
And as for injuries, really? Every year we’re plagued by injuries, to the point that it’s damn near comical. And don’t give me the argument of it being a part of football and we’re no more banged up than the rest of the country. I know all too well that injuries are a part of football, a knee injury ended my career.
Sorry for providing an opinion that may differ from yours, but that’s the way I see it. I don’t like the way we train, and I think it makes us weak and injury prone.
