Gus just said it in his presser. Gave a technical name. Said he might be back at the end of the year. No surgery required.

I like the big fella and it would be a luxury to have him but we have many of talented backs that need to get the rock along with KJ. (Looking at you Gus looking at Malik Miller). GIVE HIM SOME CARRIES.

THIS is the exact thing that pisses me off about our program....
Literally 2 days ago, B Matthews has an article titled ready for liftoff, talking about both RBs being healthy at the right time and how fresh Pettway was for the stretch, blah, blah, blah,.....
Then,... BOOM, ... today it’s reported that he has a broken shoulder and is out indefinitely,... lol... JABA

i mean, I can't blame Gus nor can I blame the writers
But this weekend was all "for the first time in a while Auburn is going to carry a healthy, talented team into the November rivalry games"
Now I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. If we slump into the off season like we did the last 3 years, it's going to be really shitty for AU morale (especially since we'll probably keep Gus).

Ya our insiders know very little. They get very mad when it gets pointed out to them but they are constantly wrong or beaten to the punch. It's a frustrating part of following AU football because every shadowy rumor could be true no matter what the beat writers say at first
