Ugh, it's not 2012. Why do people keep trying to make the comparisons?

White is nothing like Wallace. He has plenty of talent.

Sean was forced into action ahead of schedule. I can only imagine him with two more years of experience under his belt. Or are freshmen expected to be all world out of the gate around here?

No but a lot of freshmen QB's have been fantastic when placed in a system that fits their skills

If Wallace would have come in for Nigerian Retard Cam or whatever, we would have won. Period.
I think many forget how wallace could actually run and wasn't afraid to, but he was so young in the system (hasb't taken a snap in 3 seasons) He got Kodi Burns'd without the option to play elsewhere and without the accolades.
He is better than JJ and far better than the midget pale kid at backup.
How soon ppl forget

Either people don't read or our comprehension skills need a lot of work.

I said jack shite about this team being anything like 2012.

What i said was a response to a lot of people's current thinking that we should, or that we are about to go get a juco dual threat qb to run this offense. IF that happens, and IF White is relegated to a back up, he and wallace are EXACTLY alike. Not that they look alike, or have the same smile, or the same height, or hair color, or arm strength, or 40 time.

IF that happens, they will have parallel career arcs at Auburn University. Wallace performed relatively well when handed the reigns in 2012. He showed potential, never to be heard from again after a juco qb was brought in.

Personally, i think we have the talent to win now WITH a healthy Sean White. Playcalling has been god awful atrocious, regardless of who is taking the snaps.

Sean White has played in 5 games. Gus has let him loose in three. All three against SEC teams. Two on the road. And one he played through injury against a tough defense. This is also including a very weak WR core.

In those three games:
17-27 63% 255 yds
19-32 59.4% 254yds
12-28 42.9% 258 yds

I just don't see how he's in anyway holding us back from winning. You combine those numbers with the increased production we've seen from Jovon and an improved defense, you have a damn good football team.

You are delusional if you think Wallace is better than White.

Flat out delusional.

1.

Terrible argument.

Nick Marshall went 13-2 his first season. Went 8-5 his second season.

Was he any worse of a QB in his second year? No. He was actually better.

Was he any worse of a fit for the system? No.

I have no doubt a healthy Sean White could win us 8-9 games per year

No doubt at all.

Well, what I have seen from White is a lot of toughness and mediocrity. Is an ok qb good enough for us to win with? Idk. It is good enough for bama, it is good enough for lsu most of the time and good enough for UF this year.

Us? Maybe. It hasn't been in the past, but might be going forward with Muschamp handling the D.

Also, maybe White will improve a lot. He is only a RS freshman. But to say his play has been anything but mediocre for an SEC qb is wrong. Look at his completion percentage, tds, passes completed over 20 yards. All average or well below average. Also, I can name passes right now he missed that could have changed the outcome of 2 games.

Again, White is just a RS freshman and has done pretty well all things considered until last game when he was terrible for whatever reason. But to suggest his play for an SEC qb has been above average is simply not true.

In the current Down's Syndrome offense we run, yes Jw would be better. Sorry not sorry.

JJ fans need to quit attacking SW and vice versa. JW was planned to be just a backup from the beginning. He was just someone to be a body on the depth chart. SW was Gus's pick at QB for his class. Aside from playing hurt last week SW has played far above anywhere JW has.
