Not sure what kind of money you are wanting to spend but if you want to do a outside cooking area cheap, a 36" blackstone is a great start. Id go with a pellet grill for simplicity as well. Recteq makes a very good one for the money as well. Ive had ceramic style smokers and pellet style. I like both. They both work great. The pellet grill is just a little easier to work with.

But if you want to look at installing a outdoor kitchen, I did a lot of research before I did mine. Its just a matter of your budget

Yeah gonna start with something cheap to put on the deck. I just want to do natural gas since I have a line available.

We caught 150 spots on Martin today. No giants, but it was a damn good time.

Nice. I love that lake. Been a bit since I’ve been there.

Cranking? Plastics?

That Woods Island are is my favorite. Sandy and Manoy creeks.

When I first started fishing there, Russell was still dumping dye in the Elcahatche (sp). You fish in there one day and the water will be red and then the next day it will be purple. But it never affected the fish. Great largemouth creek back then.

Anyone say creeks?

This was Wed

. . . you know South Sauty creek on Guntersville? #BucksPocket

Left side is great surfing but most worry about the rocks.

Yesterday was Locust, sunburn, and the water warming up.

Looks awesome. Unsuccessfully chased turkeys this morning. Had one close but couldn’t seal the deal. It was a beautiful morning. I need to put a new trolling motor on my 16’ g3. Me and my seven year old are gonna wear out the bream soon.

Lanier. You talked about Seminole. Did you ever fish Talquin? I grew up on that lake and still love it. Moved back a few years ago and hope to get back to fishing a lot with my youngins.

I have never been there but my dad and his friends go there a lot and panfish. I cant remember if they Crappie or Bream fish there but they go a lot. They go to Lake George every spring 3-4 months in a row on the full moon for those big shell cracker. They have a place on the north end of the lake and stay 4-5 days at a time and fish twice a day. They have a system. Amazing some of the shell cracker they catch there.

He is 80 and its great to still see him out there going like that.

That’s awesome. I caught my biggest on Talquin. 9.3 on a shitty old scale and let her go. Great crappie and bream fishing. Me and the boys are going to be on bream beds shortly.

Watching WWE Raw and guess who I just saw?

Derrian Gobourne, who is wresting under the name Chantel Monroe for WWE’s Evolve brand. She’ll be on TV wresting a match Wednesday at 7 central. May have to tune into that.

Good for her. I remember she had an NIL deal or some type of connection to WWE while still at AU. I'm curious if her brother choreographs some of her in ring moves.

Just hope she succeeds. She has all the charisma in the world to find a way to get over. Would love to see her turn this into a career.

Crushed em yesterday on the compact 1/4 oz shadhead in chartreuse and white. Best 5 pushing 15 lbs. Easily caught 24 fish apiece.

Not quite 15 lbs today, but did have a 4 lb LM. I need to reorder some baits, replacement blades, etc.

I’ve got two Berkley Lightning pistol grips and are perfect for the canoe. Perfect for this seated, short casts that you have to make on small waters in tight quarters.

Y’all keep and eat all those stupid little spots on Lake Martin. I’m forced to fish there every year on our tournament trail. Lots of (5) fish limits at 6 lbs.

Kept a few yesterday out in the Gulf of America. Have some hogfish fillets and one big grouper fillet waiting for dinner tonight. The rest is in the freezer.

Looking forward to some fresh fish tonight

Just saw that USCG deactivated their HomePort portal/website over the weekend. Is that going to impact your testing for the saltwater captain's license?

Not 100% about that. I have finished all my requirements. I passed the test which was the big deal. Did better than I thought I would. Finished my drug test, physical, background check, have my TWIC Card, CPR/First aid classes. I completed all my paperwork and application and sent it in to the Coast Guard last Tuesday. I got emails back from them saying they have received it and will be in touch basically.

I hear its a 2-3 week process of them checking the paperwork. Which was a lot of paperwork. I have heard from others that they will end up sending the paper work back and forth a few times due to erros on it. We will see.

I know that home port portal website is how I can check to see how the process is going but it also only works on "Microsoft Edge' and not Chrome or any other browser. I use a Mac so I only have Chrome and Safari and I am not going to install another browser just to check it. I will just wait

What’s up tonight baws? What’s cooking? Burning a couple burgers, a Tito’s drink and some coastal music.

Hit another PR in the local 5K this AM. First in my age group. Drank beer.

Battery died in the wife’s car. Had to change it out. Watching Princess Bride.
