Every BSU coach since the 90s in pretty sure ended up in Pac12.
Houston Nutt coached Boise... ended up at Ark

The Auburn people didn't want to wait "a few more days" to hear from their coach. In doing this today, Auburn gave those good Auburn people what they wanted.
This is a fair point

Journalists and AU employees
I, like many others, generally travel to family on Christmas Eve. So something at 330 is right in middle of traveling and this isn't something you can do in car/flight as you need to take notes etc.

I come from a big military family, I am grateful there are people like you that make those sacrifices.
As you pointed out, there was a "need" for someone to make those sacrifices. I don't see there being a true need here to not only make the employees/journalists sacrifice but their families as well.
Our journalists suck but if this is going out of your way to make their holidays shitty that's a bad guy move

Other coaches blowing his phone up wanting to sign on. Love it!

Good presser. Better coach. Let’s get to work.

Well they shouldn't be traveling anywhere as journalists have been telling the rest of us there's a high probability of death or killing someone if you visit family for the holidays.

Yeah but he got a boner from a guy and then went on the rant and posted about how alpha the dude is. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Only thing that I paused on, and I may have misunderstood, was when he came a long way from Idaho to Auburn, and the coaches were gonna come a long way too.

If it lasts for more than four hours you might want to consult your primary care physician

Fair.
But, as I've pointed out, in general in choosing a career, you know what you're getting into.
I have little doubt that the vast majority of the journalists covering the press conference today, even if they found it irritating on timing, had more of an attitude of "this is what I signed up for".
Now the families of those journalist? You'd have a better point looking in that direction.

Good presser.
Does anyone else agree with me that the best question of the press conference came from the Auburn Plainsman reporter?
All the professional reporters did was give CBH a chance to use coach-speak, whereas the Plainsman guy (who asked him about his speaking to the current coaches and their reactions) actually allowed him to address a topic outside of the coach-speak umbrella.

Really glad he addressed breaking the news to the Boise State players, and expressed regret for that timing. A few people were giving him shite over "leaving without a word to the players" the other day, and I'm glad he covered it. Shows a man of integrity.
"You don't know me, but I know Auburn".
Liked what I heard.
Interesting that he's known AG for 5 years and had Bo on campus as well.
Anyone else notice the reporters that didn't ask questions? No PAM, no JGT, etc. The most "establishment" guy in the lineup was Tom Green. Sounds like AG/Gouge are pissed at our typicals.

Plane stopping in Pueblo, Colorado again on way to Boise
I wonder who they picked up and are dropping off there

I'd guess it is a refueling stop. Not sure the AU jet would make it to Boise nonstop. Those keys are typically regional distance

Yep. Those Cessna Citation jets can’t quite make it from east coast to west coast. Especially those that are that old.
