We are stuck.
Stuck with an AD who should be a middle school coach and a head coach who should be coaching independent Christian 1A high school.
We are stuck paying $4 million a year for 5 or 6 plays.
It is what it is.

Nothing matters until Jacobs is gone

Shoot I'd take Lane Kiffin over Gus, atleast he wouldn't have ran the ball 17 times on 1st down and he would've had the balls to go for it on 4th and 1. Of course there's better options out there, but two days later I see a lot of coaches that would be significantly better than Gus.

My one issue. Gus sucks but his team doesnt lack talent. We are not complaining about players, which are assembled by gus. But gus is a mental train wreck.
Weird. But hopeful that coach Kiffin can take it and run.

The more I think about Kelly, the more I like. Experienced at all levels. He would want to stay for a long period. His entire focus would be football. Elite QB developer. Doesn't have off the field issues.

YES!
He dominated the PAC with mainly 3*s, leftover 4*s none of the California schools wanted, and the RARE 5*.
With the talent he could get at Auburn, and already has the team set up for, he would dominate the SEC.
Think about it. His Oregon team full of 3*s came within a field goal of our Cam Newton team.
I've said it for years, we need to post up outside his home and hand him a blank check and not leave until he says yes.
Seriously. This team is already set up to dominate with a legit spread coach. If we go and hire a pro style coach, there will be a few years of growing pains while we recruit for his system. This team is already set up for Chip.

At this point Tom Hanks for interim.
At least he'd act like a head coach and JJ could play without a leg to stand on Dan.

There seems to be a trend for coaches who go on dominate runs. They are typically in the 55-65 year old range. Have failed in the past, usually in the NFL. Carroll, Saban, etc. Kelly is right in front of us for the taking.

Kelley is going to stay on the west coast. UCLA will come calling soon.

I could get on board with hiring Kiffin, but there is some bigger names higher on my wish list.

Why? He is an east coast guy.
