You headed to the Classic this week LS? I think all the big fish in Eufaula have died. ABT 100 should be interesting down there today.

We made the decision not to go this year and it was a good one. Thats a long drive for me. I tend to do my best business in trade shows with my spinnerbaits and being in June, I dont think that would be a great selling situation. BASS has called me 10 times wanting me to get a booth so I dont think the show would have been profitable for me. Dallas is a long pull for me from North Georgia as well.

I think Eufaula is just beat to death right now. I cant believe all the big events that have been there this year. Just absolutely crazy

Makes sense, sucks they moved it out 3 months.

No doubt it's been beat to death. I think I could put in at Rotary Park in downtown Columbus and just run river bank and current and catch a bigger bag than I could off the ledges/brush piles right now.

Not yet. Talking to some people now but nobody has done anything yet. I may sell it before we go or take it with me. Who knows.

Our house is sold. Made a offer on a house in Bradenton. Was planning on renting for a while down there but this house checked every box. I put our chances of getting it at 30% unfortunately. And we are paying cash. :(

Looking like a October move. My oldest is getting married the first week of October. After that, its day to day depending on a few key items. Wifes license, SpotSticker and hopefully, we have negotiated a 90 day closing on our home here so we can stay here till its basically time to go

Lots of shite going on right now. My wife is a damn mess

Eufaula may be the Georgia lake that I have the least experience on. Most of the time I have fished it from the state part to the bridge. Very little experience up river or even down lake.

I had a decent showing in a tournament there years ago and I just worked the grass near the boat ramp. No practice time so I just sit there and fished for 3 days.

I have a fried who fishes there a lot and he loves the river up near Columbus.

Sweet pad LS. Good luck with everything. We'll be down in Anna Maria mid July for a week. Probably be a little late for the Tarpon but we had a few hookups last year around same time. Kids love catching the pass crabs.

Awesome. Wife and I are going down the last week of July. Have a house rented on the island. Some vacationing and some looking for things.

I hear the Tarpon on great right now a usual for June. Plus, a lot of guys going off shore while they can keep a few.

I probably wont do any fishing on our trip. My wife has a list plus I may be looking for some space to run my tackle bizz. Who knows.

I know the feeling

Planning to target topwater snook early in morning to get my fishing fix in, then go boat riding, pass crabbing, and to Passage Key to laugh at all the old naked people

Man, stay away from those hippies.

Are you taking the kids out and netting the Pass Crabs?

Oh don't worry, we stay on the back side of island and anchor in shallow water to let kids snorkel and dive for sand dollars. Probably the only place I have ever been that you can't take a step in the water without stepping on one. It's tame during the week, but the locals come out on Friday and weekends. Pretty comical

Yes, typically at Longboat Pass on a hard outgoing tide. Get out in the pass, kick it in gear and idle to bridge. They stick to all the grass coming out and are camouflaged well. The sunshine skyway bridge is also good but it's a good run vs longboat for us.

Eufaula fished well for us when we were there. Practice days were incredible.

My fricking boater didn’t show up this AM. That’s a first. Texted me at 6AM saying he overslept. I’d already left. Thankfully, my brother lives in Decatur so I wasn’t out any cash. Ran 13 miles at Point Mallard, ate lunch at The Brick, and came home. No sense in staying for a two day after missing the first day.

Yep houses are going crazy now. My oldest has been looking and the prices are jacked. We thought about selling but looked around last year and didn't find anything that was of interest. Happy with our house since we remodeled it a few years ago except, I need another garage and maybe a big pool that I can do laps in. Good luck on the house! We will be at the beach tomorrow on our bikes as usual...
