Don't ever recall that but it could be my age.

Not the oldest at 64 but sure I am knocking on the door.

Spots and redeyes here on the Cahaba. Not big on fishing out of state as we have SO MUCH water here in Alabama, but I'm planning a trip to South Carolina next year during the Cahaba Lily bloom.

Just got back from Dauphin Island today. Caught about 8 bluefish, couple of trout, couple of jacks, a Spanish Mackerel and a bunch of whiting. Good times. Those blues are super aggressive. Next 3 days grilling and watching football out by the pool relaxing.

Did you surf fish or get out on the water?

Had the boat on a sand bar last week. Wife and some friends just hanging out listening to some music. I brought a few rods and just started casting down the sand bar and caught 3 snook. LOL

Hit the river yesterday and had a first. I've fished this stretch since '07, probably logging 500-700 hrs on the water. First time seeing a gator.

Pretty funny because I took my oldest there last week and we kinda spoke it into existence. We've always heard rumors of sightings but never any pics. This weekend they'll be thousands of tubers floating the same stretch.

We were planning on a Sunday float, we'll see if the Mrs still wants to.

ETA- only fished for 2 hrs or so, the storms started popping around and thunder was rolling. Caught 4 or 5 spots. Only 2 that were decent, they fight hard in the current.

Just surf casting for a few days. Caught a lot on fish bites and a 2 oz silver spoon. Used one blue and a whiting for cut bait. Conditions were not ideal with a north wind but we did ok. Lost something big. Reel was screaming and as soon as I tried to turn it's head .....pop. probably a shark.
