But this was a golden chance to change the perception of our coach and program with a top 10 road win against a team we should definitely beat. Would have set up some huge marquee showdowns in late Oct and Nov and gotten us some good exposure. Instead we piss the bed again in every possible way. The DL who came back deserved better.

I agree, our D was ridiculous and our O was embarrassing. I do think that FL’s D could be the best we face all year, but only time will tell. We certainly need to learn and improve from this experience.

It’s frustrating because we could’ve easily won that one. Damn we left a bunch of points on the board. Brown falling on the fumble, Nix missing the TD on three different plays, losing the FG on the Nix pick and Nix running backwards and getting sacked to move out of FG range. That’s not even counting the two defensive breakdowns leading to scores on routine plays.

Agreed. Mullen's ability to pick us a part when they couldn't run made me long for Gus to figure out some version of dink and dunk football.

We shot ourselves in the foot all day long. Brown trips on the field when he could have walked it in........we get no points. Bo misses a TD and follows it up with an int.. They throw a short slant and take it 64 yards because we have a LB covering him. Stuff the RB and he bounces off and takes it 88 yards. We just never got anything going. UF outplayed our guys today. They gave us every opportunity. We just couldn't take advantage of the gifts.

We all knew (or should have known) this game was coming. We have a true freshman QB and we were playing above our heads. How he recovers will say a lot about his future.

I can think of one sweep where he lost 4-6 yards.

Schwartz on a slant would be dangerous. We only use him on sweep or deep ball. One of our best playmakers who didnt get the ball

It didnt feel terrible like other L’s in the past. Our defense was awesome, but gave up 3 big plays. Our Freshman QB played like a freshman qb on the road in an sec game. We just got out executed today. We’re fine.

Did y’all see the apparatus on Schwartz’s hand last week? He probably cannot catch darting footballs on slants and other intermediate passes. He can basically catch balls that fall into his bread basket on deep balls and do jet sweeps.

I don't want any part of him going across the middle. UF was too quick for the jet sweep today. They were all over the bubble too.

So all over the perimeter? Guess what that leaves open?

With Schwartz, you damn right. If he did go across the middle, and got destroyed, people would be bitching about how stupid Gus is for losing our most dangerous weapon.

UF took him out of the game today. You just tip your cap to them for that.

I’m just talking in general, the middle of the field was so open most of the game
