Doing wings today. Meat Church VooDoo rub, 325deg till internal at 165 then 400 to crispen them up. Final temp 195

What is everyone doing on opening day.

Is Alabama A&M the team with the fat chicks who dance with the band? I remember them from JHS a while ago. Very entertaining.

Saw a recipe the other day I’m trying for the first time today. Smoked prosciutto wrapped Brie with pepper jelly. Looks delicious in the video so hopefully it comes out that way

I'm about to hit the road and head to Auburn. It's going to be hot.

I think they have an entertaining band. You are thinking about another team I think. The Honey bees or whatever

#meatto

Over day old (resistant) brown rice w/brown mushroom gravy, that the country style ribs were cooked in ... basil cucumbers and an ear of corn. Only thing left to do is cut the cucumber and microwave the corn so I'm coasting til game time.

Think melted double fat cheese, wrapped in bacon goodness on steroids, with a sweet and hot finish.

Sounds like a step up from the summer sausage, cream cheese, pepper jelly on a Ritz... which is damn good in it's own right.

Down here we have most things you get in the states, but its the little things ya miss. Found some great pulled bbq in the frozen section and wife is gonna fix me some sliders with homemade cole slaw and some Vlassic dill pickles.

Wonderful Trini wife, successful businesses, smart as a tac, and still laugh at ole stories. When we first met many years ago she had searched the net for "american football game tailgates". I come home to bbq ribs, cornbread, beans, slaw, and we sit down to watch Alabama Auburn.

Go crazy Cadillac play, crowd going crazy, she is wincing and I asked her whats wrong. She said, crossing that line is like a goal in football (soccer)
I said yeah so why the wincing? She said, if its a good thing, why the frick are the Auburn players beating their teammate on the head? I said its a form of congratulations.

She said, typical Americans, even in thanks you have to be violent

I love that woman.

I guess you're really testing the "months with R", by the first day of Sept.

Dad is in town, we decided not to go to game.

First AU game without my mom. Not sure who I commiserate how bad the refs suck or high five when we score.

Thinking about sous vide some fillets, finishing on BGE, but I haven't decided yet.
