Best of luck with the new house, I hope it gets done on time. I’m in the process of building a house right now, they told me 6-9 months to build it, this Tuesday 9/20 will be the one year mark but the good new is that we are almost completed, they told me it will be finished by the end of the month.

Fun times in Cortez. This is a crazy place to work. Hope you are all well.

Glad you guys weren't that affected other than a show.
The market here is nuts. People behind us bought and paid full asking price and will still have to put in a ton of money.

Two doors down a company bought another one and are trying to rent it out but they have a ton of work to do on it.

I am glad that mine is paid for and if we move out of here we will keep it and rent it out...

Supply chain issues? We have friends in Baldwin County, built a new house last year. Initially they were supposed to be in Aug/Sept. They finally got in the week of Thanksgiving. It took I think 6 or 8 weeks longer than expected for the builder to get the windows.

I think they may stay on schedule. The builder that is building our home is a massive builder in Florida. He seems to be doing well. The two items that were mentioned to be a problem getting were Roof trusses and AC work. We got the trusses early so we were lucky. We are about to start indoor mechanicals so we will see how the AC stuff goes. He prepared us for a big delay.

There are some people in our neighborhood that it took over a year to get theirs done like yours. Of course they told them materials shortage but honestly, here I believe it is more of a man power shortage. They are building too many houses at once and just dont have the amigos to go around.

Good luck on getting in yours. I am trying to be patient. But it is not really in my nature

Sorta. I am missing fishing in general. I bought a new boat. 25 foot center console. Took delivery in March. I got it all rigged like I want. Immediately, I started having some major issues with it. Very bad workmanship. To keep it short, I ended up getting in contact with the Owner of the manufacture and asked for my money back. They decided to build me a brand new boat which I am hoping I will get next week.

I had it about 6 months and only got to use it about 1 month. The rest of the time was broken. It was a nightmare.

I think if I would have been fishing a good bit, I would not have missed it. But the fact that I paid so much for a boat that I couldn't actually use made is worse.

My son and his wife gave birth to their first child two days ago. We are heading to to Georgia to see them in about three weeks. I am hoping to get out fishing a day or so while we are there.

I was having some fun down here with the snook in between boat issue. I am really looking forward to getting back going

Safe trip up sir!
The market in North Georgia is crazy as well. Wife and I sold our house in Warner Robins a few weeks ago. Now Hunkered down in a 900 sq ft apartment for one year in Macon until we find property up north Ga way. Only saving grace is we are on Lake Tobesofkee.
Damn market is crazy. I was hoping for 4th qtr rally but who knows of that will take place or not.
I want to look at the property during winter months.

Wife and I are both from Griffin. Know the area well.

Good luck on your search.

It's not that bad. Seriously, just don't go where you don't need to be, when you're not supposed to be there.

My parents still live in Griffin. I lock my doors there. Macon was once a good city. Way back when I was young. Now its just shite. Same with Griffin. Great place to grow up but now it is crime spree/drug capital of the state

You should have hired these folks.

They build some badass homes in 100 days or less in Florida.

They do a tv show called dream home in 100 days on HGTV.

I’m in the south end of Baldwin county, good news is we should be doing our walk through next week and should get our certificate of occupancy by the end of next week.

I've read this twice and still haven't seen the manufacturer's name. Maybe I missed it?

They have been working hard to make things right. I am not going to be bashing them. Sometimes shite just happens. Its the way you handle it that matters...
