Finally hanging up the military after 28 years

Need to call AU and see if you can do a pregame fly over at JHS before you hang it up. Would be cool to see a Herc lumbering over.

Thanks for ll the good wishes and prayers. Baby girl got to come home this morning: discharged 18 hours after what was, for lack of a better description, emergency brain surgery. Amazing.

I’m not a cruise guy at all, went on one cruise many many years back and I swore it off for good, but I’ve been told that the exception of the rule is the Alaska cruises.

Saw some videos of snow in the panhandle. Nice here in the mid 60's this morning. About to go for a walk before the front hits here around lunch time. Was hoping for some rain but looks like just a sprinkle then some big winds. Upper 30s again for us tonight then its our of here and we get back to normal.

Mix of sleet/snow/ice here in the Gwinnett/Hall/Jackson/Barrow quadruple point.

Baby girl is doing good (sorry I didn't see that question earlier). She has a followup MRI and meeting with neuro at the end of February to make sure everything looks good. Sadly this is just par for the course for shunts. She had it placed at 13 days, a revision to replace a clogged catheter at 8 months (we knew it was coming based on MRI results), and then this most recent catheter replacement at just shy of 2 years.

Glad to hear it.

Middle Tennessee is a cluster with a ton of downed trees and power lines. I expected to lose power yesterday but we surprisingly still have it. If it goes out, MT Electric says to expect it to be out "days."

My Nephew works for Duck River Power. He is out in the mess right now getting the lines back.

And in the immoral words of Richard Pryor: remember water's not only deep ... but it's cold too.

Be prepared...about to get a little more chilly. Still shorts weather unless windy. Just need to throw on a jacket.

A week or so ago when it was in the 40's a guy stopped me at Costco & asked what part of Michigan or Canada I was from. Which had me confused..I said neither, I have been a resident of FL since 84.

I just run hot. August/September is a killer for me down here...
